Gotta give some props to WWE for this

look at the world title reigns, when was the last time they were that long? Sheamus has been champion since Wrestlemania, he's defended the title at 6 PPV's now, and Cm Punk is close to a whole year of holding that title. Last few years we'd be lucky if a reign had 2 PPV defenses. Yes the world title reign hasn't exactly been 'entertaining' with Sheamus, but you get my point.

Yeah, I get your point. It makes it bigger and more exciting when it changes hands. The Fatal Four Way and his second match against Bryan were both really good.

yeah i agree that when the title finally changes hands it will be a big moment and the fact that it is a big reign alone might put over the next guy who wins it. I also think his match with Bryan was great at Extreme Rules, and the fatal four way was decent, though in general his reign has been bad quality, even though i like the fact that they are going for long reigns now.

I don't really like the fact that they're doing two exceptionally long reigns simultaneously. But I like the idea of having longer reigns.

I disagree here. I wanna see Sheamus vs. Wade Barrett.. as long as it's not like the past two WHC Title matches at WrestleMania.

It's always better to have long runs instead of passing the title around 3-4 guys all the time, it helps make the title mean something again, the only problem is trying to get the reign fresh, Take Punks run it started of great then got really boring in the middle and has only picked up again since he turned heel.

In short, long runs are better if you can keep the reign fresh.

Woo, I'm not the only one who has this opinion.

Long title reins are much better than hot-potato reigns, it makes the title changes bigger and the titles mean more than they do.
I hope we keep seeing long title reigns from now on, I'm a fan of such.

I've wanted a Barrett & Sheamus feud ever since their little matches last year so hopefully they'll set up a Barrett & Sheamus feud for Mania. That'd be awesome.
