If WCW could fall, so could WWE. And seeing as how they're emphatically following in their footsteps, it might even be inevitable. It might take longer seeing as how they have no real competition, but like I said... 10 years. Tops.
I beg to differ.
WCW never really made money but had a man in charge with deep pockets from other much more successful ventures (TBS, TNT, CNN, Atlanta Braves) and he didn't care about the company. While WCW may not have made money, it made his networks big money. Not to mention, WCW was so disorganized that even Jesus couldn't save it.
Not saying that WWE won't fail, as any business could fail. But, don't categorize them with WCW. One was poorly ran since '88 and killed the NWA off for good, while the other has had so much success, it's going to take more than shitty booking, lack of competition or making a champion out of a guy everybody hates, for them to go out of business.
So, unless something horrendous happens that has an affect deeper than pro wrestling, such as the things I mentioned in a previous post, I wouldn't be surprised the world comes to an end before WWE does.
