I could say the same about your taste. Who's to say an one-sided match can't be exciting? Most of Angle's matches are equal in the way that usually him and his opponent just get there shit in and trade finishers and near-falls.
That's just blatantly untrue, and funily true on Cena's part.

/Cena was fantastic because how Cena sold that beating and how unstoppable Lesnar looked. Cena has to over come the odds and find a way to defeat Lesnar. It had a decent story, which most Angle matches don't even both to include and that's the point of pro-wrestling.
Oh it was absolutely fantastic and incredible on Cena's part. Lumbering around and doing absolutely nothing of any importance or significance to the match and then doing a fireman slam for the win. A true story of a hero overcoming the odds. Exquisite. YOu're right, Cena's role was played just wow.

Filled that in for yah.
Cena's body of work smokes that...
Cena vs Umaga RR.
Cena vs Lesnar ER.
Cena vs Punk MiTB, SS and NOC.
Cena vs HBK WM and Raw '07 & '09.
Cena vs Mysterio Raw '11.
Cena vs JBL JD '05.
Cena vs Edge UF '06.
Cena vs Batista WM and ER.
Cena vs HHH vs HBK SS.
Cena vs HHH NOC.
All carryjobs right?
Most of those matches are average wrestling matches at best with some of them being school examples of what a carry job is and some just being plain sad backyard quality garbage wrestling, i.e. vs Batista, JBL. Even something like Angle vs Wolfe from Turning Point or any of the matches vs AJ or Joe outclassess every one of those matches by a mile. I see matches of higher quality between JTG and Drew McIntyre on the usual Superstars episodes. Angle had matches twice the quality of those on random days against random workers like X-Pac and Crash Holly, matches that are because of his body of work being so huge, completely forgotten.
It is easy to remember something like Cena vs Mysterio Raw '11. when your sample size of memorable performances is as small as Cena's. If you looked it up, you'd notice that Kurt had that kind of matches practically every week. Raw in, Raw out.

That 'lumbering around' is called selling. I wouldn't expect a Kurt Angle fan to understand. I'm sure if Cena started catching Lesnar in 12 different Ankle Locks and started throw multiple Angle Slams for some nearfalls, you would enjoy it more.

Bullshit. Tell me all the great matches that Batista and JBL has had. Because they must be fucking amazing to carry Cena to good match.

There's a big difference between selling and contributing doing absolutely nothing to the match but walking around and stumbling. Also, Cena teaching someone about selling, near falls and multiple finisher executions, good one.

I've never said that those were carry jobs, i just said that those matches are bad/average at best and stand out simply because his body of memorable work is so small.

Okay. If that's not selling, give me an example of a good selljob.
Watch this. If you can't even respect the opinions that are brought up here than I don't think there is a point for this discussion for continuing.

i just want to say that while i am completely burn out and sick of cena's character and how the wwe refuses to not push him, even over their champion, john cena is a lot better as a worker than most give him credit for. he is a meat and potatoes worker and he does it well.
as for being a better worker than kurt angle, i would have to disagree. though i will concede that kurt never fully understood the psychology and storytelling aspect of wrestling.

Dude, you need to rewatch the Austin/Rocky feud. Wrestlemania 17, 19 main events. Soooo good.

Stop feeding the troll. He's obviously a previously banned re-registered troll. Just put him on your ignore list like I did & move on. It's a fruitless argument to try to have on WrestlingForum.com anyway as almost everyone here is just WWE spoon fed apologist that were told for years that Angle (and HBK) are great. If you want to have a convo like this, it needs to be with people that watch more than just WWE & were alive before Stone Cold was hitting Stunners on Vince. The appeal of these forums is the amount of activity, not the gripping conversation. If you want to have a discussion on a minority opinion, it needs to be with open-minded people that are willing to converse, not immature people that just say "lol ur wrong."
