You can't expect them to be mega hype after sitting there for 4 hours. Two high profile matches (Taker/H, Punk/Jericho) plus musical performances will take the wind out of anyone. I still think the crowd was hot given the circumstances though.
It was definitely the open environment. I was there and it was loud, even after being somewhat burned out by the HIAC and Punk/Y2J matches. It just didn't translate well on video.
I was there live. I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. That was one of the best loud atmospheres I can remember going to in the WWE. You're probably saying that because it was on TV and it was an open arena. The crowd was extremely loud though, especially for Rock/Cena and HHH/Taker.
Do you guys think that the Audience was just in awe? and even nervous for The Rock?
cause when i watched i didnt say a peep..nothing..when Rock won i didnt even erupt either..i was just so happy that i got a alot of stress off my shoulders because of that victory, i was such a nervous wreck watching this..
im sure i wasnt the only one who reacted like this.. when cena did kinda one up rock on the mic the couple times he did, it bothered me thinking about it at work, like i was so into the feud and it was so personal to me..
The stupid musical performance killed it. At least for me. When the Rock came out, I didn't even realize. Plus, like others said, crowds get drained after standing up and screaming for hours.. add in lines for beer. water food, are long and people often don't want to miss the show to re-energize.
lol i was watching as my life depended on it,because i didn't wanted Rock to lose to Cena, the crowd wasen't as hot as they were for the HIAC,like others have pointed out many were afraid that Cena might win,but the rock bottom in the end got the biggest pop i screamed out when Rock won the match.
Well it sounded loud to me. But the musical performances def drained them a bit. I feel as though the crowd was more nervous than excited. That's how I was during the match. Rock winning seemed to be a huge relief to the crowd.
finally someone with a pair of working eyeballs. all the fanboys can't allow themselves to see this match for what it really was: mediocre as hell. neither guy can even do their sub move correctly. i guess others in this thread are saying the same, but i swear every wrestling site after wrestlemania was calling it a 5 star match. it was garbage. i had it only the 3rd best match of wrestlemania which is pretty sad. everyone i personally know that watched it felt the same way. match was nothing special. it's just another feather in the cap of john cena's overrated as hell career.
Two reasons.
1. They made the GOAT lose in 18 seconds.
2. Like every one has said the match was awful.
The Miami crowd were great the night after on Raw they were just pissed off, that Daniel Bryan lose in 18 seconds and that made the event feel flat. Which it did apart from the Hell In Cell classic, the whole event was flat because the crowd wanted a Daniel Bryan classic.
The arena being an open roof would of took the sound of the crowd away and made it seem quiet watching it on tv plus the fact the crowd must of been sat there for along time so you can imagine everyone must of been tired
