Batista takes a shot at the Miz in MMA interview

In a recent interview with MMAJunkie.com, Batista was asked what he thought about the current state of the WWE (via Wrestling Inc).

His response was as inflammatory as it was uninhibited.

He said that he doesn't watch the WWE anymore because it's all "Real World kids who are more concerned with how their hair looks and how much baby oil they have on."

The comment is an obvious shot at current Intercontinental champion The Miz, who first got his name in the public spotlight on MTV's reality show, "The Real World: Back to New York," as well as for his appearance on the spin-off show "Real World/Road Rules Challenge."

Whilst on the show, the man then known as Mike Mizanin discussed his passion for professional wrestling and his desire to one day make it to the WWE.

It was then that he also revealed his proposed alter ego, "The Miz," to the other participants.

When eventually given a shot by the WWE, he was reportedly a victim of notorious hazing specialist John Bradshaw Layfield, who has never made a secret of his backstage torment of the youngster.

"Did I haze the Miz? Hell yes! When I started, guys were hazed, and for good reason," remarked Bradshaw Layfield in 2010 (via Wrestling News World).

But seeing as all this is in the past, the timing of Batista's comments are questionable.

Batista left the WWE in 2010 after 10 years with the company. He is now set to further his Mixed Martial Arts career, as well as his budding acting ambitions.

This may lead some to suggest that his comment is merely an attempt to build up publicity for his current projects.

that's a bit hypocritical coming from an oily, roid taking clump of worthless muscle. I don't even like the miz but he is better than Batista in every aspect of entertainment there is, then again, so is a paper bag so that's not much of an accomplishment for Moz.

Isn't this old news?

Anyone that is big = steroids. IWC logic. I don't know how you call a badass talentless. And the one who puts makeup and whatever is talented. Miz talented lol, he's the worst in ring wrestler in the WWE today excluding Khali and guys like him. How can you compare a big success with a failure is just unbelievable. Batista moveset blows Miz any day.

Look at how badass and over he's: Larger than life character indeed.

This just fuels my hate for Batista even more.
I went to a live event a few years back and some woman had called her child Batista, I literally called her a d***head.
I think the reason I like Miz so much is because everyone else seems to either dislike and/or hate him, I've been following him since his WWE debut, and cannot get enough. :D

fpalm
you must be proud of yourself. Let me guess you called her only a dickhead because she was alone with her child so you had the balls to insult her. I think the reason why you like The Miz is not because everybody hates him. It's because you seem a p***y like him. Bragging about how you called a mother who brought her child a dickhead for no reason SMH

and LOL at people posting how he is mad and jealous because The Miz is with Maryse. and he is not. Maybe someone here would kill for Maryse but for someone like Batista who is rich and famous there is no need to be jealous of anyone because he can find anytime someone who looks ten times better than Maryse

:lmao

Batista. Bitching about pretty guys in baby oil after years of being one of Orton's better buds and always talking him up in every interview I've read?

Obviously someone is jealous. I can only imagine 'Tista's reaction when he harassed Maryse and she said she was in a relationship with The Miz. I wish GTV was on that case. :lmao

seriously.... Batista, Botchista, Roidtista, Batisteroid... the bodybuilder turned into a shitty wrestler.

The Miz has more moves compare to him, Miz is faster than him, more agile than him, better than him on the mic, etc.

Tista only have the look and muscles, he never entertain me with his matches. actually I fell asleep during his matches few times.

Miz is not a talented wrestler but at least he loves wrestling, he has the passion, he has good attitude and he never give up.

Batista... you gave up being a wrestler just because you don't like the way WWE is right now.

you're just a loser. don't compare yourself to the Miz. Miz proved himself to everyone. he proved that everyone can be anything they want. he's small, he doesn't have any wrestling experience, he doesn't has any connection in wrestling industry. but he made it.

You, Batisteroid, the loser... you're even lower than Zach Gowen or Chris Nowinski. so shut the fuck up.

Batista was never proven to be on steriods. Such ignorance on this forum.

Not every big guy is on steriods, some people can maintain a physique like that by power lifting and doing stuff you nerds can only dream of. It's called being dedicated and putting hard work in. Do you think Mason Ryan is on steriods? You probably do. So ask yourself this question - why the fuck would WWE protect a guy like MASON RYAN when top guys like Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio and Edge have all been caught on the juice? That doesn't make any sense to me.

Miz doesn't love wrestling, he loves WWE. There's a difference. This is the guy that didn't know who the fuck Bryan Danielson was before NXT. Most wrestlers would know this guy, but Miz? Nope. He was clueless. The guy has no moves, him and his 255 neckbreaker combinations aren't good moves. He moves around in the ring like an amateur and he's been doing this for SIX YEARS.

Miz to me, is still a TV personality. Not a professional wrestler. He'd rather rather appear on Jay Leno and Jimmy Fallon than learn some new wrestling moves. He is a Rock wannabe and he's lucky that Mr. Kennedy got fired. As for being on Batista's level, the guy isn't even on the level below Batista. I'm just speaking the truth. Miz might be a nice guy, he might be the hardest worker in the company as far as getting up and going to TV appearances, but he is a lousy wrestler and it pains me to watch him on WWE.

Batista appreciates and contributes everything that is good about wrestling. He refused to be an ass kissing yes man, he is above that. He will go down as a WWE Legend. Miz will go down as the worst WWE Champion ever who was apart of the worst Wrestlemania main event ever.

Batista > Shit > Miz.

I'll tell you why.

His title reign represents the reason people like Batista, MVP, Matt Hardy and Carlito left WWE. It was a travesty. One of the darkest days in WWE History. To be a champion in WWE, you need more than the ability to do a few talk shows.

To be a champion you need

To be able to actually wrestle - Guys like Batista, MVP, Carlito... these guys could tear the house down. They could have the crowd on their feet. I can name better matches from a midcarder like MVP than a former WWE Champion in The Miz. I could say the same for guys like Shelton Benjamin and Mr. Kennedy. Imagine busting your ass in the ring every night, proving yourself as one of the best in the world, and then have them award the title to this guy. I know I'd be pissed.

You need to be a tough guy - Say what you will about guys like Del Rio, Sheamus, Goldberg, they all looked TOUGH. They all looked like guys you didn't wanna mess with. To make it in wrestling, you need to look badass. And if you don't have that aura about you, you need to have the world-class athlete look or the iconic look. I'm not saying Miz isn't a tough guy, not at all. Wrestling is hard on the body, but Miz doesn't strike me as a badass type. He doesn't strike me as a world-class athlete and there's certaintly nothing iconic about him.

Batista did that sitout power bomb perfectly. It was already planned. What does him being 40 have to do with anything. He said the truth and the interviewer asked him the question, he answered with the brutal honesty.
