I still wonder, to this day, if Cena was originally booked to win that ECW vs WWE match but they changed their minds at the last minute out of fear there might actually be a riot. IMO, that's the most surreal crowd reaction Cena has received in the past several years being on top.

And BTW, it wouldn't be the first time a match ending was changed on the fly for fear of crowd riots. Ric Flair was booked to trade the NWA title with Jack Veneno in the Dominican Republic. Flair dropped the title to Veneno clean, and was supposed to win it back heelishly with help from Roddy Piper, but fears of a crowd riot changed that outcome. The NWA ultimately had to strip Veneno of the title, give it back to Flair, and pretend it never happened.

That ECW crowd that night was the best i think i have ever seen, they barley stopped chanting all night. we also got one of the most famous signs in wwe history that night, great ppv.
