just wondered if you guys have things (no matter how petty) that annoy you about Wrestling?

my hate is when there is a match between for example Health Slater and Primo the commentators start talking about the main storyline on the show.

This or in case the fans. Especially the one's that think they can do a better job than the people that are in power. Geez, those people only watch less than a tenth of what goes on with a wrestling show. They couldn't do 1 single hr of Raw, let alone know how to run 208 TV shows and 12 PPV's a year.

no more blood. I mean they don't even have to use as,much as they did in the past but come on. A hell in a cell or elimination chamber match without blood? Makes absolute no sense.

The rush to go through signature moves, the static move set, and eventually to the inevitable finisher. I remember Spike dudley when he was released said something like he looked forward to putting on proper matches again instead of the spot to spot matches of the WWE. Seriously you can predict how a match is going to go. Sheamus gets injured during a match with his opponent focusing on the injured limb only for Sheamus to make a comeback. He beats his chest and eventually delivers the brogue kick. 1-2-3. Yawn.

Wrestling promotions ignoring the past accomplishments of wrestlers before and after their run in the company.
For example WWE will never mention that Christian and R-Truth became world champions before their return to WWE. Imagine if Lionel Messi signs with Real Madrid and the commentators on Real Madrid TV ignore his time in Barcelona and say how he has this great opportunity to achieve his dream and win the Champions League and La Liga (spanish championship) despite that he already won it with Barca.

The next thing I hate with wrestling is the threatment of former wrestlers. Hulk Hogan made WWE what it is and Kurt angle is maybe the best pure wrestler and the total package who ever set foot in a WWE ring and both are not even in the WWE opening intro (then, now, forever) or the opening before.
In every other sports it would be ridiculous to have a video package of the history and not having both the biggest star and the most gifted athlete in the history featured.
If both Angle and Hogan return to WWE they will be featured as the biggest legends who ever competed in this promotion and No Holds Barred as the greatest movie that didn't win an Oscar.

And before someone replies "they ignore wrestlers because they are not in WWE anymore or are in other promotions", I know that but that is the point that I hate, this "every man for himself" attitude by some promotions instead of appreciating former talent.
People bust their ass 10-20 years for WWE to make this company, their championship and their biggest PPV what it is today and they are not even featured in their video packages.

They probable do appericiate the past talent, but that doesn't mean that they are required to constantly mention what they have done or continously so their clips. You don't see the NFL, MLB, NBA, or NHL acknowledging them constantly on air or showing their clips. Just because they constantly don't mention or show their clips on TV doesn't mean that they dont.

I agree with DualShock 100 percent. There is no reason that signing to another company should mean that you essentially cease to exist in the WWE Universe. The fact that Hulk Hogan isn't in their "Then Now Forever" opening is ridiculous. Hulk Hogan is the most recognizable man in wrestling history and I doubt the WWE would be anywhere near as successful as it is today without him.

I'm not sure how they would go about mentioning championship wins in other companies because I'm not sure where the cutoff would be. A TNA or NWA title carries prestige, but what about those wrestlers that have won titles in tiny unknown indy promotions?

Another big thing that I dislike about WWE is the lack of blood. I'm not one of those "PG SUX! BLOOD ROCKS BRING BACK ATTITUDE ERA!" people, but I think that blood is an important part of wrestling. Heated feuds just don't seem right when they end without a single drop of blood spilled. The decline of blading really takes away from "hardcore" type matches like HIAC and Elimination Chamber. The fact that things like Cena getting busted open against Brock get so much of a reaction show how much the lack of blood is hurting the product.

WWE's propaganda machine. The way they spew out crap glorifying WWE. The way they paint other promotions very badly like ECW and WCW in the Rise and Fall dvds, Or the fact that John Cena has to be in every WWE.com list. There's plenty more but I just think WWE's self praise is tiresome at times.

My biggest complaint is probably the negative stigma associated with professional wrestling, especially in the United States, to the point where when a non-fan finds out that you're a fan, it is reason for ridicule. When most people think of "wrestling" it is synonymous with "WWE" which means that they automatically think lesser of you & assume that you're an idiot. You have to deal with things such as friends, family or even strangers questioning why you never "outgrew" that phase (also an argument against people that play video games or read comic books) like it is a childish activity.

"Wrestling" is basically a dirty word & a lot of fans, myself included as I am now into my thirties, are embarrassed to acknowledge our enjoyment of the business. It is certainly a faux pas subject to discuss publicly outside of professional wrestling events. Even if someone just does something as innocuous as wear a pro-wrestling t-shirt into public, if anyone else recognizes the shirt, they will almost certainly be deemed white trash or of the lowest common denominator intelligence. It is frustrating & is 100% the fault of Vince McMahon.

There is a reason why die-hard pro-wrestling fans seek discussion, refuge almost, on the outskirts of the internet. We have been cast out of society, like Mad Max, as we are just roaming around waiting to find our Bartertown.

I have a few things that annoy me about the way WWE is now.

My main one is creative seemingly giving up on storylines on a whim. I realise much of this is probably down to Vince changing his mind for his bullshit reasons but you get things like the McIntyre losing streak last year that seemed to be going somewhere then just disappears. People blame PG for boring storylines but places like Chikara are doing well and if I remember correctly I think Smackdown has always been PG so it's not an excuse. Linked to this is the complete lack of any midcard storylines. I don't want to hark back to the attitude era but back then every level of wrestlers was given some time on the programme and some of my best memories are from stuff like Jericho/Regal and the E&C/Dudleys/Hardys. Now we just get the same 5 (Cena, Punk, Orton, Sheamus, ADR) and everyone else just seems to be filler.

Also the way they are editing history and removing the Attitude era stuff like it never happened. I know Vince thinks we all forget what happens over 3 weeks ago but the real world is very different.
With that we have the constant recaps/social media. I know what happened 20 minutes ago, I was watching it. I can understand maybe once an hour or mentioning it during the main event where they say the backstory to the match but that along with the constant Social media/Social ambassadors is just ridiculous.

Another thing is the way they can only book the cowardly heels. Punk has been going on about respect for ages and when he was a face he was willing to take on all challengers. As soon as he turns heel he runs away from challenges. There are other types of heels!
And this one is a minor gripe for me but since Cena has been wearing pink for the cancer awareness Ziggler/Sandow aren't wearing the usual pink attire. Is cancer awareness support exclusively a face thing?

Oh, and if I hear Cole say 'patented' one more time I might have a breakdown.

I pretty much hate nothing about wrestling. No wrestler, fan, gimmick, event, idea, show, etc. It doesn't all entertain me, but I think every single moment of a wrestling show has the potential to either, show me something I've yet to see, or bring me back to a memory with nostalgia. Even Eric Bischoff has been amusing from time to time, and he's as close to my least favorite person in wrestling history as anyone will ever be.

I hate that WCW and ECW went bankrupt, and that no one will ever be true competition for Vince, but other than that? HOOOOOOOOOOORAY Wrestling!

The unfairness of the business. How many wrestlers are great but just don't "click" and get pushed because they are not there at the right time and aren't given the opportunities? How many wrestlers risk their lives and are disrespected for some marky fan who thinks he is the center of the world and has the right to disrespect a wrestler? (not referring to general fan interactions). How many wrestlers suffer a major injury or even die during a match? How many kids mark out and get hurt by trying to impress their favorite wrestler? How many wrestling fans (mark/smark/all kind) are misjudged for being a fan? How many wrestlers dedicate their life to wrestling, are in the road all year, get hurt frequently and when they end their career, due to injuries or age, can't find anything else in their lives because they dedicated every second to the business? How many kids are away from their parents because of the business? How many parents are away from their kids because of the business?

Bad storylines and gimmicks are things that I don't like, and in that case I don't watch. You guys just made me laugh.

Lot's of small things/inconsistencies.
One example would be the "callouts". Promo going on, blablabla, Dude, I hate you, get out of here right now. BANG PYRO MUSIC Here I am in full ring attire, wazup? It's like everybody is forced to stand behind the stage for the whole show, just in case. (Like the TNA OFN thing, when they show people coming from backstage)

Another thing would be repeated spots after botches. "O no, the powerbomb from the top rope didn't break all the three tables, come on buddy, jump up, we need to do it again" or "Oh no, you missed your cue, now were all standing around like dickheads, crawl back under the ring and we will do the chasing again, and you act surprised when he trips you from under the ring" :D
