Okay, IŽll suggest what 9.5 means to me. Please, share your views on what IŽve written, my commentaries as a base.

Ability to absorb punishment 9.5

The wrestler uses his body to absorb blows (i.e. swaying, stepping back, contracting)while maintaining a good vertical balance. He will sustain a dropkick but will sway his arms to stop himself falling. If he is clothes lined over the ropes, he would land on his feet but stumble to keep himself upright. He may be taken off his feet by a flying move, or at least be driven to two knees.

Mick Foley

though kayfabe wise all of the top faces of the company would absord punishment from the heels nad come back with a heroic victory (Cena, HBK, Hogan etc.)

Ability to absorb punishment 9.5

I think two knees for 9.5 would also be acceptable.

This is a strange thread topic.

i was thinking it was just about asigning numbers to wrestlers on how well we think that they can absorb punishment..?

Austin - 9
Big Show - 6
Kofi Kingston - 3.5

Couple of random ones for the sake of it.

Yes, two knees is more like it. I was thinking about Scott Hall when he was Razor Ramon. He was typically a 9.5. I remember when Bret Hart gave him an inverted atomic drop, he jumped up and down to shake off the impact.

What other physical reactions of 9.5 are there? This number is actually the hardest one for me to judge.

1.0 =

The wrestler still does not feel the need to bring up his arms to guard his face from direct punches but is slightly affected by them.

Yes, I agree. Another for 1.0 could be:

The wrestlerŽs stomach muscles are hard enough to withstand punches, kicks or other shots to the stomach well enough so that his body doesnŽt react to them unless he takes a lot of them.
