It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen.

As for Henry and Brodus, no one knows if the hall of pain gimmick would have worked with Brodus. He had the monster look and also the talent but he unfortunate that henry already pulled it off.

What the fuck?

Were you two people born yet, or over the age of 5 when Bret Hart was in his peak?

HBK and his buddy Diesel are the ones who nearly put he company belly up with their horrible runs as face champs. Vince would have to turn to Bret to save the company after these clowns failed. HBK's kid friendly, male stripper character may be the worst babyface character to be world champ ever. It's no wonder he got booed out of MSG as a face. I don't recall Bret getting booed out of buildings as a face, and he was the biggest international star they had.

I can definitely see how someone could find Bret Hart's matches boring.
- His matches were usually pretty slow paced, a lot of armbars or other submission moves that you know aren't going to go anywhere
- especially against larger wrestlers, he tended to work specific body parts, such as the leg, which definitely isn't that exciting (wow a leg kick for the 20th time, that was awesome )
- he loved to sell... like 2/3rds of all his matches consist of him writhing in pain on the ground. It is another reason his matches are slow paced
- His matches are very formulaic.

Not everyone is a fan of technical wrestling. I can see how someone who likes faster paced matches finding Bret's style pretty boring.

That being said, I do think he threw the best worked punches of all time and always appreciated that

I find Bret's boring.

He isn't like Benoit or Bryan. He's pure technical. He doesn't mix his technical style with strikes, aerial, etc.

I'm not saying he wasn't a great wrestler. I just don't like his style.

Kids today have no idea of what Bret Hart was back in the early '90s. I know Bret deserves all the whining insults and should stop talking about the past so much, but why do people always question his wrestling ability in all Bret Hart threads. The man was a phenomenal performer in the ring. I agree he wasn't the most charismatic on the mic. But he was the best wrestler in the company when he was around. Anyone who thinks his ring work was boring doesn't have any idea what a good match is all about.

Most of Bret Hart's matches were the same, but he had a good/great match with just about anybody he worked with. He was a great storyteller, and seller. He wasn't the best on the mic, even he can tell you that. I enjoy Bret's matches to this day and every one of his opponents were better off after they worked with Bret.

Yeah and I said 20 matches that people still remember. You just have to face the reality. Bret was boring in-ring performer, he put people to sleep.

And Shawn only "surpassed" him because he came back while Bret was able to due to his injury And YOU may think as Bret as nothing more than a whiner, but a lot of people think of him as one of the greatest performers of all time. Your opinion isn't fact.
No, even before that Shawn was far superior to Bret as a performer.

A lot of people (actually the majority) also consider him one of the most boring performers in history that only managed to become the top guy because of the steroid scandal of the early 90s.

How many threads/Topics/Discussions can you find calling Shawn or Austin or The Rock boring performers in the ring? NONE. But I'll bet there are hundreds of threads on Bret hart's boring matches. That proves my point.
