Also, anyone who is forced down our throats has been "successful"...again, let's judge the Ryback gimmick once he's had to eat a few clean losses.
I don't think there's much of an enigmatic quality to Ryback that makes him 'inhuman' like Kane and Taker (aside from his incredible strength and undefeated streak) where he can be humanised like those two were at points in their career. There isn't really much character at all. He's a big guy who tears guys heads off, wins a lot and performs impressive feats of strength for the crowd. Oh, he likes to destroy competition and reads a few books a month. That's it in terms of depth. There's not much to lose thus far.
It's not a matter of him losing, becoming 'mortal' and losing fan interest that should concern people. It should be about getting him in a feud where win-loss records will mean something and is investment worthy. Just so in case he does lose in a well-built up program of high stakes (unlikely), people will still view him as a mainstay.
