Now that most of the roster is on Facebook/Twitter, I'm starting putting together a list based on how many followers they have to see if there's any relation to how they're doing on TV. I'll probably update it once a year around Mania to see who's moved up/down/off the list.

Two notes: I put a bit more weight on Twitter since I found it more reflective of their popularity than Facebook. And for now, I only counted people who are currently active on the roster (so no Triple H, Taker, Sin Cara, Wade, etc for now).

1st number = Facebook, 2nd number = Twitter

TOP 20:
1 John Cena 11496276 1949413
2 Randy Orton 2114836 1071242
3 CM Punk 981663 852861
4 Kelly Kelly 1121210 500939
5 Big Show 1029161 408262
6 Kane 1049739 -
7 The Miz 565685 570772
8 Chris Jericho 422293 624725
9 Zack Ryder 246082 652771
10 Kofi Kingston 509916 404905
11 Great Khali 418316 -
12 Sheamus 349786 (42922)
13 Eve Torres 155762 415712
14 Santino Marella 232328 326866
15 R-Truth 297392 308561
16 Christian 283323 308515
17 Daniel Bryan 162774 300952
18 Natalya 154105 261739
19 Bella Twins 73171 351251
20 Beth Phoenix 88031 309524

Sheamus just joined Twitter which is why his followers are low. Didn't know how to rank Khali, he has tons of Facebook followers but doesn't seem that popular in America. Anyway, looks like Kofi would be a smart bet to push next.

BOTTOM 20:
1 Hunico - -
2 Derrick Bateman 9010 16350
3 Jinder Mahal - 36149
4 Epico - 36794
5 Percy Watson - 41776
6 Johnny Curtis 9260 42299
7 Titus O Neil - 55568
8 Primo 22808 -
9 Tamina Snuka 16847 53443
10 Brodus Clay 48723 46079
11 Michael McGillicutty 9980 78006
12 Trent 10955 81077
13 Tyler Reks 13168 81228
14 Usos 21022 72421
15 Aksana 26522 73238
16 Mason Ryan 34014 69038
17 Darren Young 29776 74857
18 Curt Hawkins 17176 119126
19 Tyson Kidd 28697 106895
20 Yoshi Tatsu 38078 116289

I think Hunico could be in trouble since WWE doesn't even want to help him set up a Facebook or Twitter account. There is a fake Hunico Facebook page that would put him around Tamina Snuka popularity, so not much of an improvement.

Lots of guys are from NXT so you can't really fault them since they're never on TV. I'd say the guys that are really in trouble are Jinder Mahal, Epico and Primo, Tamina, Trent, Usos, Mason Ryan and Reks (but maybe not Hawkins). Brodus is surprisingly really low, will be interesting to see where he is in a year.

Anyway, if I ever finish this list, I'll let you know. :cool2

I suppose this is true but no way is it correct for power rankings.

Can't believe WWE doesn't have Facebook pages for all superstars, after all they (WWE) control them, it's not like twitter where wrestlers don't have to have one if they don't want...

I find youtube views more interesting actually. Because WWE is a show and all that, I want to see what people actually view most. Cena obviously blows everyone out of the water, with I think 30m on his theme song and around 20m on him rap battling a fan. I have to check, actually.

Then there's theme songs. I know HHH's has 7m and Edge's has 9m. Degeneration-X theme song also has 9m. Chris Jericho's highest viewed video is him punching a fan, with 4m :lmao "Rey Mysterio Unmasked" has 10m views

I'd like to know more of these sort of things. Does anyone know what the most viewed actual segments are? At first I thought it was odd that AE people weren't more popular, but then I remembered social media only took off way after it ended. Youtube was founded in 2005, I think.

You clearly have no idea how youtube works.

As a regular uploader on YT, let me tell you the views indicate nothing of a superstar's popularity.

Youtube works based on hits, not based on content. For example, the 40 sec video of orton punching an arabic kid during ONS 2006 has over 14 million views. Rey vs Khali has over 16 million views, Batista vs khali has over 10m views.

Basically if a video is a hit, the views keep increasing no matter what the content of the video is. There is a 2 sec video of a picture of a snake which has over 90 million views. This happens mostly because of the sharing feature on YT.

^That's diff though. Some songs could have been out for years, and even put on youtube BEFORE people could have bought it, so of course it'd get lots of views.

I remember when Batista changed his theme, nobody could find a clean version,so everyone advertising his theme as clear cut, everyone would instantly download/listen to it since it couldn't be found anywhere.

Ah, true. That's why I wanted to find segments. I was having a little scroll through seeing the things that have gone to 1m and 5m views. There was a match between Mysterio and Khali that had 16m something views, for example. I think Punk's 27/6 promo has a million or so views. Cena vs Orton gauntlet match, 13m views. Cena vs Mysterio 10m views...

I think people underrate Mysterio star power/"drawing" wise tbh. When people talk to me he's always one of the names that people throw at me to prove they know wrestling lol.
