Was gonna make a thread, been happening all night, gotta love it. Austin created it over a decade ago and it's still going, not just in wrestling arenas, thats awesome
I find the chant annoying at this point, but I was completely ok with them chanting it at Goodell. However, it was chanted too many times throughout the night.
The wife is a huge NFL and 49ers fan so she was watching the draft all night. I wasn't paying too much attention at first and was sure I was imagining the "What" chant. When they announced the next pick I started cracking up that it really was the "What" chant. She didn't understand what was so funny so I had to explain it to her as she doesn't watch WWE. Maybe the "Yes" chant will break out during the NBA draft since it was going during NBA games this season?
You mean the "J-E-T-S! Jets! Jets! Jets!" chant for 4 straight picks and the "Dolphins! Dolphins! Suck! Suck! Suck!" chant were annoying? Cause yeah, I'd agree. I'm okay with cheering your team for your pick, but during several others is just annoying. The "What?" chant also wore out it's welcome by pick 8 of 32.
Austin must feel great inside that after 10 years since he started the chant, it's still going strong and it even still being chanted at events other than wrestling.
The what chants are annoying sometimes but I thought they were funny at the draft. Also thought Roger Goodell getting irritated at the boos all the time was pretty funny. GEAUX SAINTS.....
Draft continues today. Now that the fans know they were heard with the "WHAT" chants, I can see them doing it more often, maybe even some other chants too
There was a also a small yet slightly audible "Daniel Bryan" chant at one point!
