Man, was he awesome as a color commentator during his entire heel tenure in WWF/E, from the 90s to the early 2000s, and he was even a good face color guy, but in these days he absolutely blows!
I could play some recorded stuff of his from SvR 2011, and it would be much better than what he tries - or not even tries anymore - to do every Monday night.
For my money, he's even worse than Michael Cole.

In that case, can we have Mark Henry end his commentary career with a World's Strongest Slam on the announce table and effectively becoming his replacement?

Thereafter, his first wrestling match will be against Hornswoggle in a dark match no DQ where match ends in 5 seconds after a low-blow by Hornswoggle.

His second match will be a handicapped buried alive match against HHH and Kane. (You know the ending to that one)

One thing's for sure: he stopped being funny. He's a crappy straight man, and had the most passion/flare as color commentary. I like Cole as a heel, but I'd rather see him as a manager or some other on-screen persona rather than in the shoutbox. Have him being GM of Smackdown maybe? Just a thought.

Yeah working with cole makes that to you not having JR in commentary is just another reason why the product sucks

The really heelish Lawler from The New Generation Era when he fueded with Bret Hart was Lawlers best work as well as his shooting on ECW, Hell I even liked Lawlers fued with Doink the clown. Lawler made me really hate him back then, I think he was even the most over heel, and who can forget the Burger King chants?

His work in the Attitude era is also great, he was kinda "I'll cheer for who I want" rather than a full blown heel commentator usually favouring DIVA matches as shouting "puppies" where as the New Generation provided Lawler with his best work, The Attitude Era provided Lawler with his funniest, he developed well too. After the attiude Era he started to develop more into a face commentator, which wasnt bad to start with but by 2006 it all went downhill.

King and JR are still one of my fave commentatopr teams of all time only beaten by Bobby Heenan and Gorilla Monsoon
