Re: Skip Sheffield returning soon as Ryback

after watched few clips, i think he trying to be Austin but i have to say he the closest to Austin than Orton or Kennedy in TNA trying to be Austin.

Skip got the looks and charisma, plus he also can talk on the mic...i like him always when i first watch on youtube of him but there's still more improvement and long way to go. Skip got potential need a right character

I assume he uses those giant ears as a time machine somehow, hard to take anyone serious with those things sticking out the side of his head.

I love the move. Always been a fan of him since seeing him first on NXT.

WWE needs more gimmicks to begin with so glad someone will be getting one. Especially since its going to the BEAST in Sheffield

Re: Skip Sheffield returning soon as Ryback

I am sure they will "tweak" the character some, I doubt they are goign to send him out there as billed "from the future". Will be nice to see Skip back on TV though I always thought he had a decent look, actually had some charisma and was decent in the ring.

Re: Skip Sheffield returning soon as Ryback

I gotta say though, the "Terminator" schtick sounds dreadfully lame. The goofy cowboy gimmick idea was dumb enough, but this new schtick is almost too campy for its own good. In reality, he should be booked like a Goldberg or Lesnar - just a roughhouse style bully. Just book him like a threatening, imposing kind of loose cannon.

If he's saddled with this terrible schtick, I'm afraid it will be a complete bust. If nobody is gonna buy into it, why sell it?

Review Goldberg's or Lesnar's dominant run, and let Sheffield resume that sort of role.

Re: Skip Sheffield returning soon as Ryback

At least we will have somebody with a gimmick :O!, from the future gimmick though... I don't know how it will work, but I'm optimistic, Sheffield had great presence and ring work.

Re: Skip Sheffield returning soon as Ryback

I wonder if the WWE couldn't get the trademarks they would've gone the Daniel Bryan route and named him BackRy, or will TNA call him that once he's released and have him be a mysterious man with bread on his back.
