Default Goldberg vs. Batista

Do you think Goldberg and Batista, two huge stars (no pun intended) from the professional wrestling worl, would have been a huge draw (again, no pun intended)?

Would you have liked to have seen it?

Goldberg:
Height: 6'2
Weight: about 260ilbs
Finisher: Jackhammer, Spear
Most Known for: long undefeated streak and WCW World Champion
Quality of matches (IMO): 3/5

NOTE: While not the most technical wrestler (by any means) he was a great powerhouse that had a great intensity about him.

Batista:
Height: 6'6
Weight: 290ilb
Finisher: Batista Bomb, Spear
Most Known for: WWE Champion and World Heavyweight Champion (and fucking Melina)
Quality of Matches (IMO): 3.5/5

Note: Again, not a very technical wrestler, but had a great intensity and when focused, had great ring pressence.

So again, do you think it would have been a draw and a good match? I think it would have been great, at least better than Goldberg/Brock Lesnar.

I wouldn't be able to buy into a Batista-Goldberg match because I just don't see Batista on Goldberg's level. Goldberg is a legend, Batista was a star in one of the worst periods in WWE history.

I dont think it would ever happen either, nor do I think it would be an amazing match, but I think it could be entertaining. We have seen what both men can do when they actually try.

I think Batista is one of the worst WWE Champions of all time. And I never liked Goldberg, at all. I would not want to see it and think it'd be a horrible match.

Don't underestimate how good this match could potentially be. Bill had an absolute stormer with Scott Steiner during WCW's death nells and Dave always was inclined to perform at the level he was pushed at (if it wasn't a top line feud, his performances generally suffered).

Goldberg always worked best as the monster face and Batista always showed better charisma as a monster heel, so that dynamic would suit well.

It would be my belief that it would draw well (if given the requisite creative) and the match would be a (slightly unexpected) gem.

As a side note, anyone looking to compare the match to GB/BL needs to remember that it was the last match either was having with the company, neither would have been risking injury, both were leaving the company on bad terms (Goldberg, due to being low balled in contract negotiations and Lesnar, on being perceived as an ingrate for walking out to try for a new sport after the huge effort they had expended on him) and (it was rumoured) the WWe sent them out with a heat sapping match structure to cool of any potential future impact of them reentering the business with a different organisation.
