They never proved Benoit guilty. And what little 'evidence' they had was circumstantial, from what I saw. They'd have struggled to get it in front of a jury if he'd lived.
You can't punish someone, alive or dead, for a crime you can't prove they committed. Vince needs to either get the case closed properly himself, or grow some balls, put Benoit in the Hall of Fame and dare someone else to prove Benoit did it.
Re: HOF - who should not have been inducted apart from...
Unfortunately the Benoit thing has too much PR bullsh*t to induct him into the HOF. It's a shame.

Yep. Also Hacksaw Jim Duggan and the the Nasty Boys.
Seriously though, the comment about his time in Memphis is a good one. But if these guys were a success at the regional level then there must be a lot more guys out there who should also be candidates.
In my opinion, there should be 2 ways to get in:
- being a headliner, carrying the company/business by drawing money consistently over a long period
- changing the wrestling business in some way, e.g. by paving the way for black athletes, bringing a new style of wrestling, ...
Scott Steiner is great, but I doubt he'll be considered since he doesn't fall into either of those categories.

I would say Pete rose, is probrably the only one that didnt deserve it. The fridge is in it because of the celebrity category so thats a exception. But Pete rose is a douche and only thing he did was get tombstoned twice.
Re: HOF - who should not have been inducted apart from...
I think most are deserving, besides the Fridge who got carried by Bam Bam and got a Shitload of Money for getting Carried. And Pete Rose. While Koko was in WWF just a Jobber he had some Sucess here and there. I also don't get why People shouldn't get inducted cause of their In Ring Performance. Sarge was over, JYD was HUGELY over everywhere he went. Also Georg Steele chewed on a Ringpad and was over as anything on the Card, try that.

A throwaway Battle Royal does NOT count as main eventing a wrestlemania. You would have to include the rest of them too, which they havent.

I do wish people would pay attention to what they post if they're arguing against something, two letters = L & T.

They won't induct people like Savage or Warrior pre-humously because they'll always try to get back on good terms with them (like they did with Bret Hart) so that they can accept the award in person.
I never actually found out what the source of Savage's ill feeling was towards WWE, apart from the fact Vince book him for any matches for his last few years in WWE.

One thing that was proven is that Benoit had severe, almost crippling brain damage. WWE doesn't want the media talking about that, and that is why there will be no Benoit in the Hall of Fame.
