***1/2 - ***3/4. Their Armageddon match was like the polar opposite of this match. Relying mostly on spots and pace, they completely switched it up. The diversity is just absurd. Together, they showed that they can wrestle both ends and anything in between. That in itself can be considered the story of the match. Since the heel controlled the match in both cases, one could argue that Jericho wanted to change the style of his offense so as to catch Cena off guard. I agree that it is indeed inferior to the Survivor Series match but it's still a great match at around three stars.
The difference to me is that Cena and Jericho have had matches after that and each time, they've tried to replicate the Armageddon match. That really makes the Series match stand out.
Great effort on those reviews Austin but I can't help but feel like we're on polar opposites for most of the matches through this Wrestlemania review-a-thon. Michaels/Jericho is fantastic, but it had some issues holding it back from being a classic. The game plan by Jericho ended up meaningless and forgotten about, the match lagged a little in the middle and Michaels completely no sold for the latter half of the match - which mattered more than usual blow off's, considering the surgery to his back had been fairly recent and was a big focal point at this stage. I felt like Michaels has his moments in the beginning, but outside of that - everything I enjoyed about the match was to do with Jericho. Michaels was just sort of "there" and was obviously finding his feet after his return still. He was a far smarter, more logical and more effective worker across the board in his 2007 period. I think large parts of his post return period have been given higher praise than they deserve. Having said that, he's still had some fantastic matches - but a lot of them are matches I'd consider more like ***3/4 - **** rather than the consensus which seems to be more in the ****1/2 - ****3/4 sort of range.
Have you seen Miz & Swagger vs. Primo & Kofi from Superstars ? The match was structured very well. It's quite short but it's not a spotfest either. Psychology employed by the wrestlers and it's never slow. Great variant of the tag team formula and a clean ending to boot. Loved it.
No I haven't but you pimping it means I'll have to check it out.

Cena|Jericho = epitome of storytelling in a modern day wrestling match. The only ones that I think can rival it are Shawn|Flair WM XXIV and Batista|Shawn from ONS 08 but they both had an intensive story going for it, unlike this one.
Have you seen Breaking Point? The storytelling in Cena/Orton was brilliant.

A classic but not 5 stars like WWE and some fans have said. Angle not being able to get out of a damn headlock for 5 minutes was pathetic since he should be able to get out of that in a second. Other than that it was a great match with alot of near falls and some sick moves. The ending was one of the best I have seen in a long time and I was sure that Shawn would win. ****3/4 from me.
O and Angle was fucking intense in this match lol.
I want to see If Austin went higher on the rating or lower because I remember on his last reviews he had it at ****1/4.
HBK/Angle is a classic to me. It had the WM feel to it, just epic with a hot L.A crowd. The in ring action was excellent and paced well, great counters, big moments and a legendary ending, didn't see it coming at all tbh. ***** BTW, yeah.
Cena/Orton-BP **** Just watched this and I gotta say it's their best match together, even better than the SSlam 07 match. The storytelling as Ownage has mentioned is freakin' excellent and the match is just intense. Orton works it like a psychopath and Cena takes some sick shots and the match was just a really brutal affair. The hot Canadian crowd also helps in making this a modern classic.

Not a huge fan of it, ****, there are some aspects which are good but I dont think its all time great like most people make it out to be. Plus I felt they were trying to hard to make it a bring it to a classic status, the sequence at the end tended to drag too much, and I didnt like both men's selling at some point.
