It doesn't matter how much BS he spouts, you can't fairly tell the story of a war without each side telling their story.

True, but I don't really think Bischoff has anymore to say than he already has.

There's only one person I would like to hear from. Ted Turner. I would love to hear what compelled him to go after Vince in the first place. AND what he was drinking that night when WCW was sold to Vince for $497 million less than what Vince offered him 2 years prior.

actually when wcw was sold to vince at the time for dirt cheap, turner had already sold his company to aol/time warner, so he didn't have anything to do with wcw's sale. if he was still in charge, even though wcw was bleeding money he still would've poured millions into it as he loved pro wrestling and wcw itself. there's actually a similar thread talking about this here.

as far as the dvd goes, i'm hoping it's an unbiased as possible, but considering how much vince hated wcw and the fact that many key wcw players aren't even on this dvd pretty much rules that out as to the real rise and fall of wcw. i too believe that vince will twist the truth, but i guess we'll see when it actually comes out.

Rise & Fall of ECW had some of the WWE Revisionist history to it, but overall it was a very positive portrayal of ECW. But the difference between ECW & WCW is that WCW never came close to beating WWF in the ratings. A friend of mine summed it up best...

"WWE making an ECW DVD is like the San Francisco 49ers making a DVD about the Buffalo Bills...'Oh yeah they did well! They made it to 4 Super Bowls and Jim Kelly was really good!' but them making a WCW DVD is like the 49ers making a DVD about the Pittsburgh Steelers..."Sure they won 6 Super Bowls, but in actuality there franchise has always had overrated teams & some of their victories were very questionable"

In other words, WWE is never going to paint a company that almost beat them for good in a positive light.

I have my doubts that WCW will get that same treatment as ECW. I mean they even blasted WCW on the ECW set. I guarantee you'll have Flair on there saying "The nWo was the worst idea of all time...everybody in the crowd was holding up the Four Fingers" and I'm sure you'll have guys like Jericho say "that company was a joke" and you might even get somebody saying "Well Bischoff gets credit for the CW Division, but in actuality it was Paul Heyman that gave them their big break"

Now WCW definitely fell apart at the end and was terribly run from the start, but there was a lot of good stuff on there and I'd like to focus more on the positives that WCW brought to the table. It'd be great if WWE had gotten Goldberg, Bischoff, Hogan, DDP, and various others to bring more of a positive light to WCW, but once again I have my doubts.

The match listing looks great and I look forward to seeing alot of those again. The only thing really missing is Raven. Would have liked to see some of his WCW stuff because it was some great shit. But the documentary portion is what has me worried. I'll wait until I hear reviews about it before I pick it up. I just have this fear that I'll go watch the matches, but then want to put my first through the TV during the documentary because it'll be heavily slanted like the Monday Night Wars DVD was.

I will say this thought: Thank God they aren't covering the WCW Invasion & The Alliance.
