My first review

Fully Loaded 2000 The Rock vs Chris Benoit WWF title

Benoits first WWF title shot (?).Video promo before match was very good, its shows Foley making stipulation: if The rock gets DQ he will lose the title. Shane Mcmahon was in Benoits corner and he was funny as always. Action was fast-paced, but it kinda missed something. German suplexs, thats it! WWf title looked good on Benoit, danm you Foley. Benoit finally hits tree Germans on The Rock, but he kicks out.The Rock pins Benoit with Rockbottom at 22:09. Great match but it could have been better.

Kurt Angle vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin
One month earlier Austin defected to the Alliance and took the WWE Championship with him because he felt under appreciated by Vince McMahon because Vince was grooming Angle to be the next champion. Angle was dead set on returning the WWE Championship back to it's rightful home but Austin who had already shown he'd do anything to hold onto the WWE Championship was more than willing to do anything to keep the title and the power which came along with it in the Alliance.

This match had a huge big fight feel to it and delivered in a big way. The psychology in the match was off the charts. Austin knew he couldn't beat Angle straight up in the ring so what does he do? He takes Angle to the outside and puts the match in his favor. Then after he beats Angle down and bloodies him up, he's more than willing to wrestle Angle because he's established an advantage. Perfect heel tactics there. Angle was such an awesome babyface in this match. The crowd was already hugely behind him from the start but when he started bleeding and the way he sold it made the crowd love him anymore.

Along with the great psychology came great storytelling. You had Austin who clearly thought he couldn't beat Angle straight up do every single thing he could to put Angle away. Didn't matter if it was by the books or not, Austin was doing anything to retain the WWE Championship. Then, you had Angle who knew he could beat Austin but just need to somehow counteract his blood loss. Of course the big downside to the match is the finish. I liked Austin attacking the refs because it helped showed his desperation and him knowing that he couldn't beat Angle but I would've perferred a clean finish. Other than that, the match was great. The brawling was awesome, the psychology, storytelling. It was a perfect heel vs. babyface match. Overall ****3/4
