I read a comment somewhere that more often than not, the main event to Wrestlemania is far outshined by a match on the undercard, so I decided to go back and check out if that's true.

WM - The Tag Team Main Event was best match on the show IMO.

WM2 - Dream Team vs. Bulldogs was better than Bundy/Hogan.

WMIII - Hogan/Andre brought the show, but Savage/Steamboat stole the show.

WMIV - I'll say the main event of Savage/DiBiase was MOTN, although I also enjoyed Steamboat/Valentine.

WMV - Savage/Hogan was by far MOTN here.

WMVI - Same goes for Warrior/Hogan

WMVII - Warrior vs. Savage was the best match, even though I enjoyed Slaughter/Hogan too.

WMVIII - Bret/Piper & Flair/Savage far outshined Sid/Hogan

WMIX - The Headshrinkers/Steiners match was my pick for MOTN at this one.

WMX - Bret/Owen & Shawn/Razor are two of the greatest matches of all time. Yoko/Bret isn't as good

WMXI - Well just about everything on this show sucked, so I guess it doesn't matter. Razor/Jarrett, an ok match, was MOTN for me.

WMXII - Bret/Shawn was by far the MOTN.

WM13 - It was the only true One Match Show in Mania's history, and it was the main event. It was Bret/Austin.

WMXIV - Many might disagree with me, but I thought Taker/Kane stole the show, although Austin/HBK was the major attraction.

WMXV - Rock vs. Austin was the only big thing that was worth a damn on this one.

WM2K - Gotta give it to the Ladder Match. Didn't like the 4 way.

WMX-Seven - Rock vs. Austin II was one of the best matches of the decade. Benoit/Angle 10th Best Mania match my ass!

WMX-8 - Hogan/Rock not only outshined the main event, but completely stole its thunder as well.

WMXIX - Some might disagree with me here too, but I thought Rock/Austin III, Hogan/McMahon, & Michaels/Jericho were WAY better than Angle/Lesnar.

WMXX - Nothing came close to Benoit/HBK/HHH. That match was amazing.

WM21 - This show's all about HBK/Angle, Taker/Orton, & MITB. Batista/Trips just didn't capture what they did.

WM21 - I thought Cena/Trips was a total trainwreck. Edge vs. Foley was the best match from this show.

WM23 - It's close, but I liked Taker vs. Batista more than HBK/Cena

WMXXIV - Flair vs. HBK was the emotionally charged match. Edge vs. Taker put up a good effort, but couldn't match it.

So by my count, only 8 times has the WM main event been the match of the night.

Nice list their TripleG. Pretty much agree with everything except for WM24 and WM 19 but Lesnar/Angle and Jericho/HBK are both ****3/4.

I also really enjoyed McMahon/Hogan, maybe a little more than the ME but the ME was the "better" match. Not more than Jericho/HBK though.

Am i the only one with Angle/Lesnar > Jericho/HBK?? Both at ****3/4 btw.
