Well you should see those matches, but that was directed at craig. The '95 tag match in particular I rate as the best match ever. Anyways Angle3000 was kind enough to link me to a Flair/Brody 2/3 Falls match from '83 which i'd bet my liver ends in a non finish. So i'm going to go watch that and then hopefully someone will call me with something to do tonight.

I'm not OFFICIALLY back but I'm borrowing a family members lap top every here and there so you MIGHT get 1-3 posts from me daily I'd hope till the beginning of next week.

WM 9 in general is an underrated event because it gets shit on a lot due to the fact it was a Mania therefore it gets compared to other Mania's (which can seem rather dissapointing in comparison to them) the setting (Which I actually enjoy for a change and unique theme) the ending thing with Hulk (it was BS but I don't let it ruin the PPV) the bad taker-giant match.

Everything else was pretty good

Crush vs Doink was fun and Razor vs Backlund if they had time could have done good things I imagine even though Backlund was done.

Steiners vs Headshrinkers was off the chart tag wrestling
Tatanka vs Michaels is actually one of Shawn's most enjoyable WM encounters and I'm not kidding
Mega Maniacs vs Money Inc was good
Luger vs Perfect was GOOD.

Opening Segment

The WWF Champion and his wife open up the show. Stephanie tries to talk, but before she can, Shane McMahon and The Big Show come out.

Shane says that the fans want him to get a little pay back for her slapping him last week on Raw, and that they want him to slap her. BUT, seeing as that is what they want him to do, he isn't going to do that.

Triple H gets on the mic and says something similar, but in regards to The Big Show, and what has happened between them in the last 2 weeks.

Show is now going to tell us what IS going to happen tonight. Kane is going to be in a handicap match against X-Pac, and the Road Dogg! Shane tells us of another handicap match tonight, with Rikishi against Triple H and The Big Show!

Triple H makes yet another handicap match, which will see The Rock going against Chris Benoit & Perry Saturn! Stephanie adds that she will have a personal surprise for The Rock after his match, and she implies it will be a slap to his face.


Video Segment

The Mean Street Posse are looking for Crash Holly to try and win the Hardcore Title from him. They find him, but as usual the Posse can't decide who is going to beat him for the belf and fight themselves, allowing Crash to escape with the title!


The Rock Vs Chris Benoit & Perry Saturn - Handicap Match

The Rock cuts another bland, boring and repetitive promo. He actually has the nerve to say that Perry Saturn has a stupid name. Erm... "The Rock"? And will someone please tell him to stop referring to himself in the third person. Cal finds that annoying...

Not a very long match, but fun to watch, especially when The Rock is getting beat down . The Rock starts to gain some momentum towards the end of the match, and hits a Rock Bottom to Saturn and picks up the win.

After the match, the other 2 Radicals come out and beat the living hell out of him!

Rating: 3/4*


Backstage Segment

In the McMahon-Helmsly Locker room, Stephanie gets up and says its time for her special surprise for The Rock.


In Ring Segment

Stephanie makes her way out to the ring, and says that the Rock fans must feel disappointed with his performence earlier, getting beat down by the Radicals. So, as a treat to the fans, they will get to see The Rock again here tonight! Boo!

The Rock will take on The Dudley Boys in a handicap Tables Match! For The Rock to win, he needs to put BOTH Dudley's through a table, but the Dudley's only need to put Rocky through once!


Christian Vs Essa Rios - WWF Light Heavyweight Title

Essa Rios is in a match, which means... LITA

Teri is also out at ringside, with her tits almost popping out lol.

Is Christian even a light heavyweight? He looks a bit too heavy to compete for the title lol. Oh well .

Another short match with some decent action while it lasts. Lita hits a Moonsault on Christian behind the referee's back, and that BASTARD EDGE spears Lita!

Christian loses by DQ because of that.

Backstage Segment

Kurt Angle is talking to some random stranger, and is explaining what Intercontinental means .


Kurt Angle Vs Tazz - WWF Intercontinental Title

I am so fucking sick of both Michael Cole and JR constantly saying that Tazz is "a lifetime over-achiever" and is a "street survivor". Shut the fuck up!!!!

A decent match for the time they got. Tazz locks in the Tazz Mission, and Angle tries his best to escape, but can't. Who comes out to help? Bob Backlund once again!

Jericho comes out to attack Angle and Backlund, thus saving Tazz. Backlund gets the Walls of Jericho, and Angle receives a top rope Tazz-Plex.

Backstage Segment

X-Pac and Road Dogg are talking backstage, and X-Pac tells Road Dogg he wants nothing more to do with Kane, but he keeps coming for him. Road Dogg tells him not to worry.


Road Dogg & X-Pac Vs Kane - Handicap Match

2 Smackdown's in a row that Kane was in a handicap match, and both are very good!

The match was given a very good amount of time for a TV match, and they all did extremely well with it.

The referee gets knocked out, and Kane starts to destroy both DX members. He then sets up Tori for a Tombstone, but X-Pac makes the save with a steel chair to the back, then the X-Factor on the steel chair, which led to the win.

Even better than the match last week against The Dudley Boys!

Video Segment

We see a video of Mae Young, Mark Henry and Mullah talking about what happened to Mae at the hands of The Dudley Boys. Pointless.


Backstage Segment

The Dudley Boys are excited about getting to face The Rock in a handicap tables match later tonight.


Jeff Hardy Vs Steve Blackman

Another pretty long match for Smackdown, which was solid. Nothing more, nothing less. Just solid with nothing really to write about.

Blackman gets the win.

The Dudley Boys Vs The Rock - Handicap Tables Match

You know what's nice? Sitting back and watching The Rock get the shit kicked out of him .

Of course, The Rock has to ruin it for me and make a come back...

Bubba needs to be added to my favourite wrestler list after preventing The Rock from hitting the worst finished EVER (the People's elbow). Just after this happens, The Dudley's try to 3-D The Rock through a table, but DDT's D-Von and Rock Bottom's Bubba through a table!

Luckily, The Rock hasn't won yet, as the rules state he must put BOTH Dudley Boys through a table. The Rock brings in a table, and sets up D-Von for a Rock Bottom. In comes Bubba to make another heroic save, and nails Rocky with a chair!

3-D through a table! The Rock got a 3-D through a table! The match is over, and The Rock LOSES!!!

Entertaining, but didn't get much time to do anything too special. They should have taken more time from Blackman/Jeff to help make this match better.

Ivory Vs Jacqueline - WWF Women's Title

Jacqueline wins.

Crash Holly Vs Albert - WWF Hardcore Title

The Mean Street Posse attacks Crash in the match, and Albert beats them down. One of the Posse chases Crash, and that randomly ends the match.

Triple H & The Big Show Vs Rikishi - Handicap Match

The 4th handicap match of the night, and I am sick of them now. The first was short, so it didn't really matter, while the second was really good. The third changed things up a bit with the table stipulation, but this one has gone backwards. They should have added some stipulation for this match too, maybe No DQ or something. Anything to help make it seem less boring lol.

I just couldn't get into this match at all, as it seemed like we had already seen it a thousand times with all the one on one and tag matches with these guy in over the last few weeks.

Triple H and Show end up fighting, allowing Rikishi to gain some momentum, and it looked like he had a chance to win now. Rikishi gives HHH a stinkface, but before he can do the same to Show, Shane hits him with a chair, and Show chokeslams him.

Triple H follows it up with a Pedigree and pins Rikishi. The last couple of minutes were the only decent parts.

After the match, HHH wears out Rikishi with a steel chair, until The Rock, with a pipe, comes out and helps Rikishi. Well, until Shane hits The Rock in the ribs with the pipe, and then Triple H does the same thing, but repeatedly. The fans are booing, but I am loving it!

The Big Show hits a huge chokeslam on The Rock, and then Triple H hits the Pedigree on Rocky.

Rating: 1/2*






Overall Show Rating: 6.5/10

An average show for the most part, with a great handicap match with Kane and DX. Nothing was especially bad, but nothing was that good either.
