Just watched four of the better matches from Wrestlemania 24.


MITB Ladder Match
Chris Jericho vs MVP vs Mr Kennedy vs John Morrison vs Carlito vs Shelton Benjamin vs CM Punk

I thought this match was a brilliant showcase of high risk by all seven wrestlers. A lot of the spots were very well calculated, made sense, and very exciting to see. Morrison really stepped up in this one and showed what an innovater he is in the ring. Although the same can be said by every wrestler, as this match was brilliant due to each wrestlers effort put in. Seven of the best WWE performers plus a ladder equils a great match up. CM Punk winning... could have been Hardy, but oh well.

Career Threatening Match
Ric Flair vs Shawn Michaels

Not their best performance, but one of the best stories portrayed in a pro wrestling match. Best wrestling match on the card, best wrestling match of the year already, most emotional match of the year. It doesn't get much better. Perfect, just imagine what these two could do in their primes against eachother. Historic, classic, a real highlight of each mens careers.

WWE Championship Match
Triple H vs Shawn Michaels vs John Cena

Upon my first watching, I didn't think much of this, but on the second view, I saw how great this really was. Some people may think I'm overrating this abit, but this match was brilliant. Much like the MITB Ladder Match, this match was what it was due to what each man brought into it. A joint effort, and great psychology. The entertainment level was through the roof. Momentum changed all the time. A successful match up. Suprising ending at the time too.

World Heavyweight Championship
The Undertaker vs Edge

This match was good picking to be at the main event. Edge really stepped up his game, and showed that he is still an amazing performer. The match was on it's road to becoming a classic. Text book wrestling done by two of the best. It's hard to explain whats good about it. It's just something you watch, and you know. Something that I thought let it down was the countering session. It seemed to have went on for a little too long, and in turn lost it's effect for me anyway. That made me lower my rating a bit, but it was still a quality match up. Close to being a classic Wrestlemania main event.

D/L Disc 1 now. Review up tomorrow I think. Haven't reviewed anything in ages.

This thread has gone back to its usual self. Occasional reviews, slow replies, little PPV reviews as a whole, no discussion etc. So yeah (Y) I didn't like it when it was super fast but it's not good slow either.

I've had the new Flair DVD on pre-order since it was available to do so on Silvervision. Shame it doesn't come out while August over here.

I was hoping to have done another SD review today, but I just cannot be arsed to sit down and do it lol. I'm not in the mood for watching any wrestling just now, so unless that changes after a night's sleep, I won't be doing any reviews for a couple of days probably lol. Oh well, its not like they ever spark a discussion unless I rate a match super low/high .
