Oh how I love writing out reviews only to have my computer go into Power Saving mode then when I go to restore my session it isn't there. This is about the 6th time it's happened to me but I've written hundreds of reviews so I guess it's not ALL BAD.
Anyway since I'm in a foul mood here's the short of it....apologies for how bad this is about to be just take into consideration I was literally seconds from posting before it shut off on me. I now know it's a cruel joke for something bad I must have done years ago I guess...oh well....

Austin101's- WWF In Your House 11: BURIED ALIVE (October 1996) Review:
"As for everyone else...if they have a problem with the language I've been using lately, well they can just kiss my ass and that's the bottom line!" -Steve Austin
-JR cut a good heel promo during this PPV.
-HBK the then WWF Champion did not wrestle during this PPV but he did commentary. Must have lost his smile after hearing Bret was coming back.
-In the Free-For-All before this show The Stalker (aka Barry Whindam) pinned Bradshaw. (aka JBL)
-Now onto the PPV...............
1) Opening Contest- Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Hunter Hearst Hemsley
Ya know if I didn't still have my Sunday Hangover at 10 pm I'd actually FEEL like re-writing my once detailed review of this match because it's a nice little gem.
You can find it on youtube if you want to see it and Austin wins with the Stunner at 15:30.
Nice little HEEL vs HEEL match to open the show which was rare because Vega was being replaced by HHH due to an injury and they got near 16 minutes to work on an In Your House show that never goes over 120.
*** 1/4
2) Smokin' Gunns (Billy and Bart) vs Bulldog and Owen (c) for the WWF Tag Team Title's
Owen's spinning heel kick does the job to Billy at 9:17 to retain the gold.
Gotta love the tag team of Davey Boy and Owen.
Standard tag action here.
** 3/4
3) "Wildman" Marc Mero (W/Sable) (c) vs Golddust for the WWF IC Title
I remember digging there Summerslam 96 match a lot more then this one although there are many who might not like either due to its slow pacing.
Despite Mero being a complete tool he did actually have a nice moveset.
Mero retained the title at 11:34 with the Wild Thing.
** 1/4
4)The Who is Mr. Powerbomb Match: Sycho Sid vs Vader (W/Cornette)
Sid wins with the weakest looking chokeslam ever at 8 minutes exactly. Nice for Vader to go from top dog in WCW and a legit title contender against Shawn to jobbing to Sid in a matter of weeks.
* for Vader and 1/4* for everything else.
* 1/4
5) Main Event- Undertaker vs Mankind (W/Paul Bearer) in The Original Buried Alive Match
I don't even feel like posting the link to the review I did of this match in my Taker blog.
Yeah.....
but it was A GREAT MATCH.
A classic, actually....Taker gets buried alive at 18:35 when heels just randomly run from the back for no apprent reason to make Taker lose in this gimmick match. Hey where have I heard something like that before?
Underrated that's for sure.
This was one great rivalry and my favourite match the two ever did outside the Cell.

Final Rating for WWF In Your House 11: Buried Alive = 7/10
The only reason I don't go higher for this good show is because it was only two hours long and featured just five matches. Similar to Canadian Stampede (although) just not quite as good as that show in that regard. I still found this event to be a good watch and I had a lot of fun viewing it again. It starts out with a match that would headline shows just a few years later in Austin vs Triple H. The IC, Tag matches are fun and even the battle of Mr. Powerbomb is fine. It's all capped off by a stellar main event with Taker vs Mankind that I reviewed just recently in my blogs in the "OTHER" section. (The Tombstone: History of the Undertaker set) I'd reccomend getting this show on a tagged classic if it's available or ordering it off someone else. It's a fun one for sure and definately one of the better In Your Houses out there.
Feedback appreciated as always if you want to discuss.....
