Good Review HBKBretHart. Shame the WWF Championship match didn't close off the show, as it rightfully deserved to do so.

Not a fan of Duthtay but looking forward to seeing how Backlund works with Hansen's brutishness, a technical clinic with Fujinami and Choshu's.... Choshuness?
Also been really getting interested in Ted DiBiase, might have to pick up his Mid South stuff of Wrestletapes and see if Corey has his WWF stuff (which i'm pretty sure he does).

Backlund was the freakin' man in Japan (that rhymes) as well. I've only seen a couple of his matches, but his defence against Inoki (not the screwjob one) was fantastic. Obviously I'm going to have to pick that DVD up at some point now you brought it to my attention.
Here's Corey's DiBiase page, btw:

Some great looking stuff on there, especially his Mid-South work as I've seen next to nothing of it.
Not sure if you noticed it mentioned on the Savage set, but there's a match with DYNAMITE FUCKIN' KID from 1985 on it!!! I never noticed it myself until I looked it up 6 days after I ordered it and, needless to say, I marked the fuck out.

Re: Official WWE DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread II
The Jeff Hardy Extras from the recently released Twist Of Fate DVD just finished downloading. Once the Matt Hardy Extras & the Documentary are completely downloaded, I'll burn to some discs & watch. I'll more than likely have a full review on this 2-disc set.
I've also pondered the thought of doing a review for the History of the WWE Championship DVD, but I'm really not bothered to watch that 3-disc set anytime soon -_-.

Yeah the match they had during the "Wrestling Classic" tournament no doubt. I guess Dyno legit hurts Savage's back a little bit.
Hell yeah gonna order that DiBiase stuff, think I still need that Savage set as well lol.

So far Im the only one that I have seen give Austin/Rock at X7 the full *****. But I don't care, it's my favorite match of all time.

I also gave it *****. I love everything about it, and always have.
Never even realised that i've rated 3 Austin matches and 3 Bret matches *****.

Re: Official WWE DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread II
What stop me from giving it the full 5 stars is for 2 reasons:
1. Vince came out too early. His interference should have immediately lead to the finish. I can imagine Jr immediately screaming "WHAT IN THE HELL?! MCMAHON HELPED AUSTIN?! WHAT HAS HAPPENED HERE?!", then we'd see McMahon and Austin shaking hands.
2. The sloppy chair shots at the end. The Rock kicked out of damn near everything, so Austin just sloppily hit his prone body with a chair several times, then got the pin. I would have preferred a hellacious chair shot from vince, into a Stunner as the finish.
Other than that, its near perfect. Crowd was electric, good storytelling, and memorable turn by Austin.
