Yeah exactly my thoughts, it was great and a lot of fun to watch but that doesn't warrant a ****1/2+ rating that puts in in the league of the very GREATEST wrestling matches in history. I think a combination of the names who were involved, the exciting pace they worked at and the overload of finishers influence people's ratings.

WM 24-Triple H vs Orton vs Cena

Another match that I rate lower than most. I expected it to deliver in a big way, possibly eclipsing Edge/HHH/Cena from Backlash the year before but I don't think it did. At BL 06 the triple threat felt like an absolute WAR, the intensity was way higher, I felt like there were many more "mark out-worthy" spots and it seemed like it had a bit more substance on the story telling side of things.

WM 24 triple threat had the style and was a fun little match, but truly lacked that second gear to really make it something special. I'm sure the ridiculously short amount of time (for a Raw main event at a WM anyway) had something to do with it and I didn't think the sequences between Hunter and Cena were quite as good as at WM 22 - while Orton's involvement really wasn't anything worth noting. The finish also brought it down and just because Orton was the surprise winner it doesn't justify the match being praised noticably more IMO.
