The DDT could still be seen as a lethal move if used less. Some wrestlers give it a lot of meaning, some of them just make it seem like another move in their list that does little to none damage.

TNA still use the hold quite a bit. Its just WWE that have toned down maybe because they have a high wrestling death rate.
