I have been watching some old PPV's recently and just wondered..

1) how did they do the last ride to hassan through the stage? I thought they would use a crash mat or something but they is no room to get one in or remove it beofre they camara looks down on him

2) During buried alive matches.. once the soil is pured on top of them how do they escape is there another compartment or something to the soil

I know that number two they move to the side and sit in a little compartment with water (to drink) until the arena is empty.
