Whats the point of having seperate rosters? It totally takes away the suspense
What is the point of having seperate rosters anyways? They need some more suspense because the challengers in most of the matches are so predictible. I mean some of the wrestlers are on one or two of the brands anyways. It is fine that they have 3 seperate brands. Why not just have an overall WWE roster though. Then they can just plan show by show who they want to use and what not.
Obviously you'd still have certain wrestlers on there specific brands. However, they can promote more interpromtional matches whenever they see fit instead of limiting certains wrestlers to one brand. Make it more of a surprise so we don't know the status of wrestlers and then one week they show up and start a feud.
For example, why limit John Cena to defend the WWE Title against just RAW superstars? It isn't the RAW title, it is the WWE Title. So he should defend it against all challengers in the WWE.
I am just saying from like a fan stand point just have an overall roster. They could always just have the WWE roster be RAW and Smackdown and have there roster combined and then keep the ECW brand seperate or something. WWE needs to have more suspense and build there midcarders up. Don't guarantee every wrestler to a certain brand. Make them move around a bit.

I agree. Perfect plan would be to wipe out ECW and have RAW and SmackDown! with one roster.

Re: Whats the point of having seperate rosters? It totally takes away the suspense
When they came up with the idea of splitting the rosters it was a good idea because they had a ton of talent. Back then they had Hogan, The Rock, Austin, Undertaker, Triple H, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Kane, etc., etc. But now they really just don't have that much talent like they did back then.
One thing I would really like to see happen is having one world champion, one set of tag team champions and then just have the cruiserweight and U.S. championships on SmackDown and the IC and maybe bring back the hardcore title on RAW.

See the point of brands is so that we can watch something other than Vince Mcmahon and Triple H. The point of brands is to build up younger talent (moreso on Smackdown and ECW) and make them stars, rather than having wrestlers who are out of their prime taking control of the mic. The point of brands is to have an alternative.
The point of brands is to see something other than the crap we see on RAW, lawls.

I totally agree with you. Its true that the element of surprise has been lost since the introduction of the brand extension. All the matches have become the same old same old and its annoying. I want something new.

But when you have 3 shows limiting wrestlers to a certain show kind of sucks, IMO.

Yeah, I totally agree. Its stupid for them to have 2 separate rosters. They should take the ECW time slot and put OVW in its place.

Simply enough, with three televised shows a week (four if you include a PPV), plus a bunch of house shows, the wrestlers would be far overworked if there was no brand split.
For example, lets take the WWE Champ John Cena. He's the flagship of the WWE, as he holds the title with the "big name". Imagine if his shedule for the week suddenly was tripled. If all shows weren't branded, you'd want the champ on them all. And that would be no good for him.
(this is just an example, its the same for many wrestlers that would be over-worked).
As well as this, we might not get a chance for a lot of talent to develop in the midcard, as the midcard will be full of excess main eventers. A lot of guys that get TV time now probably wouldn't.

i prefer the brand split but i guess it would be good to have an overall roster between brands but exclusive titles to each of them which all wrestlers can challenge for. example raw has wwe title, ic title and womens title, sd has us title, cw title and tag titles, ecw has hardcore title. Whereby if Cena was champ he would only be on raw and anyone who gets into a program with cena would only be on raw til the program endz.
