Which one does everyone prefer more?

To me i prefer a Heel Champion say up to Wrestlemania, then let the Face champion get the belt to say great american bash or even summer slams.

I've always prefered heels, to be honest. When I was growing up I always fond myself rooting for the arrogant, self centred heels and always wanted them as champions.

doesnt really matter to me, although i tend to root for the underdog if anything.

It's a tweener world. A lot more people are rooting for the bad guy than a good guy then they used to. It used to be exciting to see the face battle his way up and beat the odds against the heel Champion and watch the good guy celebrate with his fans. But things are much different. With smarter fans, we cheer for the guy who we think is more deserving, not based on his popularity. It was exciting when we were going through the anticipation of Triple H finally winning his first WWF title, despite it being against the huge babyface Steve Austin and babyface Foley (only to defeat Foley the next night).

With Cena as the dominate babyface champion for so long, I forgot how it was like for a babyface to go against the odds and come finally win the championship from the hated heel (that's not a Cena complaint). Since no one could decide if Batista was a heel one week or a face the other week; the same with that when The Undertaker beat him for the World title. The last time fans were really pulling for the babyface to win the championship over the heel was probably John Cena over Bradshaw at WrestleMania 21. Or if no one agrees with that, then it'd be Benoit over Triple H and HBK. I make those examples because Batista lost a lot of his populairty by the time he beat King Booker for the World title - Edge didn't get to a WWE title long enough for us to anticipate a Cena WWE title win, plus the masses wanted to see what Edge could do with a real title reign.

Yeah, me being long winded. But I still perfer the oldschool chase of the babyface taking the title from the heel.

I used to root for the heels all the time too, its just I always liked them better. My favorites of all time are, Owen Hart, Chris Jericho, Jeff Jarrett, Raven, Edge, Christian...they are all heels, well better heels than faces. The only person that really breaks the mold for me is Trish, she was a great heel and face, but she spent most of her career as a face, and she had great title runs as a face, including that title run that went from January 2005-April 2006. Personally, I don't have a preference I guess, as long as the champion is a good champion, who defends alot and puts on great matches.

Doesn't make much of a difference to me, there's certain guys I like and certain guys I don't.

heel champs are way better. especially the cowardly heels who keeps dodging the big face

Back in the day, I had used to favor Face Champions rather than Heel Champions because of the whole "good vs bad" storyline. But my preferences has since changed, and I pretty much just cheer for who I think is the most deserving of the title.
