Re: Official WWE DVD Help & Review Thread
ECW December to Dismember 2006
One Night Only MNM w/Melina vs Team Xtreme 9/10 MOTN
This was a great opener for the ppv. It was given a great amount of time as well. At times the crowd was dead which gave me a funny feeling. The match had great action, all men showed their athletic ability using high-flying moves. Some good false finishes as well. Really impressed with both teams. It even recieved an'ECW'chant.
Matt Striker's Rules Matt Striker vs Balls Mahoney 6/10
Good match. Balls actually has skill as I can see now. Matt Striker is always great. Nice pace of the match with Striker using creative ways to injure Ball's arm. Not really boring because I like Striker's style. Balls a some good offense and his usual jabs. Surprisingly good match.
Elijah Burke & Slyvester Terkay vs F.B.I 4/10
Just a match that was not good at all, I hate squashes on ppvs.
Tommy Dreamer vs Daivari 5/10
An ok bout but not believable that Daivari would control this match. If it had actual build, I might've cared.
Mike Knox & Kelly Kelly vs Kevin Thorn & Ariel 4/10
DUD. This was just made to create a soap-opera storyline between Knox & Kelly. We had an apperence by Sandman who should've had a match in the first place. I like Sandman.
Extreme Elimination Chamber ECW Title Big Show vs Lashley vs CM Punk vs RVD vs Hardcore Holly vs Test 6/10
The worst EC in history. Earlier, Sabu was tooken out and was replaced by Holly...not a good idea. The match started off with Holly & RVD which was one of the worst beginings to the match. Holly didn't do much and seemed pretty lazy. Overall the best were tooken out early, and they did the best spots in the match. Their were never any 'HOLY SHIT' moments in the match. Mediocre final three to a mediocre EEC. This match lacked talent in a big way. Very predictable. Just a giant letdown.
Extras: EEC Post match interviews: The only intresting interviews were Punk and Van Dam. Lashley vs Show Rematch 6/10.
Overall, don't buy this. Maybe if it had build, it would've been better. I really don't know why I bought it even though I knew it was shit. Just look for Team Xtreme-MNM.

Honestly, probably Summerslam 2002, Survivor Series 2002 and off the top of my head, probably Royal Rumble 2004.
Survivor Series 2002 being the absolute best out of the three and probably the best in the last four years other than Mania. It featured the first ever Elimination Chamber and Big Show vs. Brock Lesner. The first time (that I know of) we see Lesner F5 Big Show. Plus, it was in Madison Square Garden.
And Rumble 2004 was the amazing Rumble featuring Chris Benoit. He did the impossible and won the whole damn thing. Going from entry number 1 to winning it and eliminating the Big Show. Also featured a run in by Mick Foley and Undertaker's gong going off to scare Kane. Awesome Rumble.
And Summerlsam 2002 is just a fun PPV featuring Rock vs. Brock for the Title in a very good match for a rookie Lesner. And a few other good matches including Angle vs. Rey Mysterio to start off the night big.
Just my opinion there. I'm sure I missed a few really good PPV's.

I have just picked up this DVD recently, and i have to say that i was impressed. All of the matches on it were good, even the old school matches involving the likes of Pedro Morales, Bruno Sammartino and Superstar Billy Graham. The only glitch i have with this DVD, is the lack of depth put into explaining the championship transactions not shown on the DVD.
Overall i would give this DVD 8/10

Re: Official WWE DVD Help & Review Thread
Well, I just wanted to say I picked up Chris Benoit: Hard Knocks yesterday and finished watching it earlier today and that was one great documentary. Not only that but 15 full matches, all defining matches in his career.
I recommend it to any Benoit fans, especially the ones wanting to find about about his pre WWE history in WCW, ECW and Japan. In fact, any wrestling fan in general will enjoy it. Oh, and don't forget to check out Benoit vs. Great Sasuke from Super J Cup 94 in the extras. That match is class.
