Review For Bloodbath: Wrestling's Most Incredible Steel Cage Matches
Here we go. The most incredible steel cage matches! Well, the first thing I would like to point out is that other than the 11 matches in the extras, these are not complete matches. They are just clips of joining the match in progress.
The following are the matches included in their entirety:
Bob Backlund vs. Pat Patterson
Bruno Sammartino vs. Ivan Koloff
Don Muraco vs. Jimmy Snuka
Bob Backlund vs. Stan Hansen
Tully Blanchard vs. Magnum TA
Ric Flair vs. Dusty Rhodes
Rock 'n' Roll Express vs. Andersons
Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart
Mankind vs. Triple-H
Edge vs. Kurt Angle
Now, for the main program...
Bob Backlund vs. Pat Patterson
- A decent match here if you are a fan of true old-school. It will be a snooze-fest if you are not. 5.5/10
Bruno Sammartino and Larry Zbyszko Fued
- Worth a watch for old-school fans, otherwise boring. 4.2/10
Bob Backlund vs. Jimmy Snuka
- A solid, historic match here. 7.5/10
Don Muraco vs. Jimmy Snuka
- One of the greatest feuds ever. 8.3/10
Tully Blanchard vs. Magnum TA
- Rather boring match, again worth watching for old-school fans. 5.4/10
Hulk Hogan vs. Paul Orndorff
- Classic here, not an amazing match, but two legends. 7.2/10
Ric Flair vs. Ronnie Garvin
- The Nature Boy! Woooooo! Solid contest, worth a watch. 7.5/10
Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart
- Amazing match, by two of the best ever. Must-see. 9.5/10
Isaac Yankem vs. Bret Hart
Interesting to see Glen Jacobs pre-Kane gimmick. Not an amazing match, but great for nostalgia. 6.6/10
Triple H vs. Mankind
- Another classic match here. Absolutely must-see. 9.6/10
Triple H vs. The Rock
- Two of the best from the Attitude Era square off. Nice match. 8.1/10
Steve Austin vs. Vince McMahon
- Great feud, and the debut of a 7 foot tall 500 pound monster. I'll let you guess who that is.

7.6/10
Edge & Christian vs. Hardy Boyz
- One of the best feuds the tag-team division has ever seen. Solid match.8.6/10
Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit
- Man, do these two have chemistry. Great match. 8.6/10
Edge vs. Kurt Angle
- Another match with two awesome competitors. 7.9/10
Overall, you will not enjoy a great part of this DVD if you do not enjoy old-school wrestling, but if you do you will love it. Worth a pick-up if you can find it cheap, but I would not spend a great deal on it.
Overall Rating: 7.5/10
Review For The Monday Night War
It was a great time to be a wresting fan indeed. An amazing documentary, one of the most well-done ones I have seen from WWE. This was truly a classic era in sports entertainment history, and it is great to relieve on DVD. The documentary is thorough enough to be informative, but not to become boring.
Documentary Rating: 9.5/10
Extras:
1) Owen Hart & Davey Boy Smith vs. Steve Austin & Shawn Michaels
- Not a bad match, but boring at times. 6.4/10
2) The Road Warriors vs. Shawn Michaels & Triple-H
- Nothing special here, but it’s good for nostalgia. 5.1/10
3) Booker-T vs. Chris Benoit
- This match is pretty nice, but again underwhelming. 7.2/20
Hollywood Hogan vs. Goldberg
- A very historic match. Not a technical classic, but it is still a classic in my book for other reasons. 8.5/10
It also contains various promos as extras which are great to see. The only criticism is that there could have been more. 9.0/10
Overall, this is great to watch, but you probably will not watch it more than once. If you were a fan during this era, than you’ll love it, but it’s not a must-buy. Try to find it for cheap.
Overall Rating: 7.6/10
