Re: Official WWE DVD Help & Review Thread
I've only seen the WWE Championship collection and that has some very good matches on it and is a worthwhile purchase. I've heard the McMahon documentary is good and Hulk is good if you a big time fan of the hulkster. Basically if your looking for some great matches go I'd with the championship collection some of the best matches I've ever seen are on there like Bret vs Owen in a steel cage, the WM 12 Ironman match and Angle vs Benoit Royal Rumble 2003.

Re: Official WWE DVD Help & Review Thread
Yeah go for HOWC, some of the greatest ever matches on there. Hogans matches are always crap (save for the recent ones) and McMahon has a good documentary but average matches (save Hogan, the first stone cold ones and buried alive).
Overall, grt HOWC.

I thought the McMahon DVD was shit in all honesty with the only good bit being the Montreal screwjob footage and Vince's reaction to it.

Re: Official WWE DVD Help & Review Thread
For the Mcmahon DVD, I would've liked to hear people talk about him and tak about what he does behind the scenes. Too kayfabed. The matches are kind of cool but I wish the documentary was a little bit more informational.

AMEN! Way too kayfabed. They didn't even talk about the steroid trial from the early 90's. They acted like it never even happened. This DVD is all about Vince McMahon, the character, not Vince McMahon, the person.

Re: Official WWE DVD Help & Review Thread
The WWE championship DVD has the same clipped Backlund matches from the old VHS copy of the history of the WWF copy. That one went up right to Hogans reign and included a Ventura/Backlund title match.
As for the AWA match selection, its not so great. Jesse Ventura was definitely all charisma, little in ring ability. But the Brunzell/Greg Gagne vs Bockwinkel and Stevens match holds up really well considering it was 1971.
The Bockwinkel/Hennig match was also very good too. Nick Bockwinkel is definitely one of the most underrated wrestlers of all time, mostly due to him not competing in WWE and NWA.
The quality sucks though and the camera work and shots, especially in the cage match between The Midnight Rockers and Playboy buddy rose and doug somers match. Another complaint is no commentary from HBK or Marty janetty and hardly any from Sherri Martel.
I think I can recommend this to old school wrestling fans and those who want to see how good Nick Bockwinkel and Verne Gagne really were.
