These two by far are definitely worth getting. In the documentaries on these they hold nothing back, they tell the stories as they were. All I can say is these are definitely worth the buy.
I always wanted to get The Ultimate Ric Flair Collection DVD. Does anyone have it and how is it? Thanks
I have the Ric Flair DVD and its amazing if you're a fan of Flair - the best matches are vs Barry Windham and a 2 out of 3 falls vs Ricky Steamboat I'm not going to review the DVD but I thoroughly recommend it to you!
"....Seen one, seen 'em all. Two guys kick each other in the head for 40 minutes then one of 'em gets pinned. Foreign wrestling matches are a lot like foreign films; no one really understands 'em, but they dont want strangers to think they're stupid, so they rave about them and turn their noses up at anyone who says otherwise.”
i think there just needs to be a separate section in the forum for this, that way every DVD can have a separate thread.
Thats what i suggested (ages ago) but was shot down.
Anyway my top 5 are -
1. WM Anthology (12-21 is what i got) - superb packaging and editing (mostly), blurring isnt bad and if you complain then you are a nitpicker. So many moments and matches, great that you can buy the digipacks like i did.
2. Tombstone - Ok its not a documentary (for kayfabe reasons) but i expect when he retires there could be. Just goes to show 'taker is not just a gimmick guy, he has had some awesome matches. My picks are VS HBK badd blood, VS mankind revenge of taker and VS hhh wrestlemania X-seven.
3. McMahon - Surprised it wasnt too kayfabe, decent matches but the revelation of the "incest" angle is shocking but funny. Great sections on the XFL, brand splits and austin/mcmahon.
4. Wrestling with Shadows - Fascinating, and i havent even talked about the ending.
5. Tagged Classics : Royal Rumble 97 & 98 - Ok its out in december but i have seen the rumble matches on vhs/download. Fucking love them, especially the winner.
