Yeah, I've seen the clip with his retirement speech. I think it was an extra on the Horsemen DVD. not sure though lol. When he retired it was a HUGE loss to the wrestling world, he is one of the all time greats, and one of the best ever to never really reach main event status.
Anyone know if 1997 was awesome for ECW as well? . That way we have even more proof that 1997 was the best year ever! .

ECW was a good year in 1997 my favorite year was 1996 for that. Have u seen the NWO parody of Arn's retirement? I was pissed about that when it happened and i still am.

Yeah, I've seen that too. Apparently though, Arn was OK with it at first, and it wasn't until some of his friends and family started to tell him how disgusted he should be with Eric for allowing them to do that, that he hated it. Of course, that is what Eric said (in his book, I think), and you can never really know who's version of the story to trust lol.
I'm off to have some food, then after that I am going to do another Raw episode review. I wish I had the Smackdowns from 2000 as well, so I could do a complete year review, and do the PPV's as well. Oh well.

Re: Official WWE DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
97 was probably the most nostalgic year from my memory, with 98 a close 2nd.
ECW, WWF, and WCW were all great that year, some of the best angles in wrestling history ran thru the course of that year as well.(NWO, DX, Hart Foundation vs Austin/USA, WWF Invades ECW and vice versa, etc.)
I only have 2 matches at 5* tho, still a great year in the ring as well. 05 and 89 definitely top it for 5* matches in North America anyway, those have to be the 2 top years.(4 in 89 and 4 in 05 by my accounts, none of these being WWF/WWE matches in either year tho)
