Re: Official WWE DVD Help & Review Thread
Buy the collection of WrestleMania's. I believe it is Anthology set 4? It has 16-20. All great events and all worth the money. Especially 17.
SummerSlam 2000 was great. TLC and a good 3-way dance main event.
2001 was the year of the Invasion so I recommend any PPV from that summer through winter. People crap on the Invasion angle alot but there were some good matches. SummerSlam 2001 was very good with Rock-Booker T and Angle-Austin headlining.
2002 was the year I stopped watching for a little bit. I would recommend SummerSlam and Survivor Series. The Rumble and No Way Out were also decent.
2003 and 2004 I cannot offer any advice except for WrestleMania.
05 was really not so great, but there were some ok events. Mania obviously. And Vengeance was awesome. One Night Stand is worth the purchase also.
06 has been talked about a little bit already. Vengeance, One Night Stand, Mania 22, and No Way Out are all worth the money. Aside from that check out some TNA stuff if you want great PPV's for this year.

I have only just started watching wrestling again after stopping, not by choice though, in 2000.
So this is where you guys come in. Would anyone be willing to give me a brief run down of the best PPV DVD's from between 2000 to 2006. The help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Official WWE DVD Help & Review Thread
Also I will recommend some of the great Documentary style DVD's that the WWE has put out:
Trish Stratus: "100% StratusFaction Guaranteed"-Great DVD. It talks about Trish's childhood, and how she is a life long fan of the business. From there it goes into her fitness career, and her WWE work. The DVD only goes up to the year 2003, because thats when the DVD was released. A Must Have for any Trish Stratus Fan.
Brian Pillman "Loose Cannon"-One of the best DVD's the WWE has ever put out. It talks about his throat illnesses as a child, and his sports career from high school, all the way through his stint in the NFL. From there it goes into his career in wrestling. His stint in WCW, the breakup of the Hollywood Blonds, and how he turned into a Loose Cannon. Then it highlights his short period in the WWE, and eventually his death. Great DVD to pick up.
Monday Night Wars-This just chronicles the war between Monday Nitro and Monday Night Raw. It has interviews from those at the center of the war, like Eric Bischoff, Vince McMahon, Mick Foley, and more.

Re: Official WWE DVD Help & Review Thread
Ok. I've been looking around for WWE DVDs that I should ask for for X-mas. I watch the WWE quite frequently, but I never purchase the PPVs because my cable doesn't offer it. Recently, I have purchased some ROH DVDs and realized I would like some WWE ones as well. For my first ever DVD order which should I get? (Figure around a 150 dollar spending range)
WWE Rewind 2005 (All the PPVs from 2005)
The Best of WWE of 2003 (All the PPVs from 2003)
Wrestlemania Anthology (I'm looking at Vol. 3 and 4 because I'm not interested in super old WWE events)
Individual DVDs with great matches such as Royal Rumble 2003, Vengeance 2005, etc.
What do you guys think? Any other great packages out there that anyone just loves and can't go without? I'd appreciate all the help I could get on this topic.

Re: Official WWE DVD Help & Review Thread
Out of those, I would go with the Mania's. If you can get both for a reasonable price, go for it. 2005 and 2003 weren't that great, but Mania is always a good event to watch. I would go with that one if I were you.
