Re: Official WWE DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
I have a question for anyone who has the new Triple H DVD. I'm thinking of getting it and it looks awesome so im wondering is it worth the watch? I really want to see some of the early Attitude era stuff and the lineup that i read for it looks sick so whoever has it let me know.

That DVD doesn't interest me in the least. Halftime Heat should have been on there.

Re: Official WWE DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
I've been wondering something ever since I watched the WCCW DVD. If Kerry Von Erich got into his motorcycle accident in '86, and had his right foot amputated, then how the hell did he continue to wrestle?

Re: Official WWE DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
The legend killer, heres a review for ya.
Imo it is a good DVD.
Disc 1
HHH's wwe debut match: *1/2, served its purpose and good thing to see the game in his first wwe match:
HHH vs Marc mero: **: decent bout.
HHH vs mankind for KOTR: ***. ^^
HHH vs Owen: ****: good energy and its a treat watching owen again
HHH vs mankind, wwe championship: ***1/2: Good raw match
HHH vs Austin no holds barred: ****1/4. Great crowd interaction here, well done.
HHH vs Cactus jack HIAC: *****: What can i say, great effort by both men with 2 great bumps by foley, awesome!
Royal rumble 02 from when HHH entered: ***1/2: energetic and fast paced here.
Disc 2
HHH vs HBK 2 out of 3 falls: ****, good bumping here and it went for over half an hour but it didnt seem that long, thats good to.
HHH vs batista, HIAC: ****: HOLY BRUTAL! steel chair with barbed wire was just brutal, it cut Batistas back open. Good job here.
HHH vs flair last man standing: ****1/4 What can i say, this was a bloodbath where flair resembled the red rooster.
HHH vs Edge vs Cena: ****1/2: Fast paced action with HHH wearing the proverbial crimson mask.
HHH speaking:
This wasnt a biography just him talking about matches etc..
First match speech: Talked about his wcw days and how vince wanted to bring him in with a character.
IC title match speech: Talked about The IC title being the workhorse title, Also i think it was here he talked about chyna
KOTR speech: Before this he mentioned the msg incident and how he asked vince would this depushing be forever because if it wasnt he would do the time. Well done to add the MSG incident in.
Owen speech: Talked about How much he respected owen.
WWE title speech: He spoke about it being a cheap sort of win (referring to austin not wanting to job to him) but he still felt proud because vince was trusting him at the top:
Vs austin speech: talked about how he was the man he wanted to be like, thats the level he wanted to be at. Good stuff again here
Injurie and RR speech: Talks about the 2 man power trip, torn quad, rehab and coming back to win the rumble.
HBK speech: Talks about winning the title at Wm, how he was having a fall out if you will with HBK (suprised me) and how HBK wanted to comeback and he only wanted it against HHH
Batista speech: Spoke about evolution and how he put over batista and how good they made batistas turn.
Ric flair speech: Talked about him being away for a bit then coming back and how he idolised flair and it was his dream to have a series of matches with him.
Edge and cena speech: Talked about how cena asked for feedback from HHH and HHH said he sucked but Cena wanted to improve and took it and how in HHH's eyes cena is on top. For edge he said how they only interacted a few times on tv and how he has worked hard and long especially after the neck injury for his success.
I wont review the 2 extra matches.
Great dvd worth the money easily, HHH is honest here and its great to hear his side of things, also the matches are all very consistent.

Owen/Bulldog vs HBK and Austin Raw 97 - **** 1/2
That Rock DVD does look good for the fact it includes more Raw and SD matches then most sets. I own half the stuff but most of the rare material I don't so I will be getting.

It's absolutely incredible stuff.

I have that One Night Only DVD and I remember enjoying the Hart/Taker match very much. Probably ****1/2, but I'll give it another watch, as I think it's also an extra on the Taker set.

Yeah, its an extra on the Tombstone DVD, and its on the Bret Hart DVD. ****1/4 was the rating I gave it.
Watched the first 3 matches on disc 1 of the Foley DVD, gonna watch the rest now and get a review up in a couple of hours.

There all atleast ****1/4 IMO and probably higher. 3 of my favorite ECW matches of all time. Probably hard as hell to find, but if you ever come across them definitely take the chance to see them. I know there's a RVD/Sabu vs The Eliminators match on the RVD DVD, but I'm pretty sure it's not one of those matches.

I'm always interested in finding great matches I have never seen before and I'm open to watch all wrestling types. I'm actually really been getting into old ECW since ONS 05. RVD/Sabu v. Eliminators from RVD DVD really picked up at the end of the match with the incorporation of Tables, Ladders and Chairs. I can only imagine what an official Ladder Match would be like. I'll look for them for sure.
