Just watched Undertaker/HBK Hell in the Cell at Badd Blood '97. I hear some people gave it the full five stars and although it was highly entertaining and fucking innovative at that time, I'm now only going to give it ****1/2. The way HBK won was pretty cool though, with Kane debuting and such, but all in all, that good/great finish still doesn't make me give the full five. I may change my rating if I watch the match a second or third time, but for now, ****1/2 it is.

I never thought that match was a full *****. Yeah the ending was cool and it wasa great match but tbh Shawn's complete overselling, which while I understand he did it to make 'Taker look strong, I also suspect HBK did those kinda things to get himself over and shift the focus of the match on himself. That took away from the match and it really bothered me after a few minutes.

Still a **** 3/4 match.

Great review, Austin, but I still think Umaga/Cena was better than JBL/Cena. The Eddie/Rey match was class work too.

I keep going back and forth between that rating and 5. I don't know where I sit for sure but it definately ISN'T a must 5 like some say. I thought the story telling was great but the fact it was one giant squash for a lot of it was kind of lame.
