I decided to rewatch this classic match, and am happy I done so. When you talk about adapting in professional wrestling, this has to be THE match to bring up. Much like all their other matches together, this one was competitive at it's best. Thirty minutes of two brothers trying to escape the cage first to prove they're the better brother and to win/retain the WWE Championship. This match was completely pure. Back and forth. There was always something happenning, and always the chance for one superstar to win, so looking away wasn't an option. I'm not going to say that this is how all Cage Matches should be, but it shows how well done and exciting a cage match CAN be, when it is looked at as a compitition rather than a chance to pummel and bloody the hell out of an opponent. An instant classic.

The HBK/Vince feud sucked big time but I think the match was good on the standards that the expectations are low most of the time Vince is in a match. When I watched Mania and the match started I thought for sure it would suck, but it turned out to be the complete opposite. Partly because of the crowd and partly because of the entertainment value in whole. HBK did get most of the offense but what else did you expect?

You really can't compare Edge/Foley and HBK/Vince on the basis that Foley is a hardcore legend and was going to make that match work especially with someone like Edge. Unlike Vince who's not really a "wrestler".

The feud between Michaels and Vince was annoyingly draw out. It lasted from the late Raw's in December to the End of April. The best part of the feud was Shane/HBK at SNME, which wasen't anything out of the ordinary.

Vince/Shawn should have just stopped at Mania. The only reason why it went longer was because Vince wanted to do the whole 'god' angle.

I lost interest in the McMahons/HBK [DX] feud after Backlash 2006 .

Edge's spear > HBK's elbow (in regards to each respective spot at Wrestlemania 22).

I must be insane or something, but I never hated this segment as much as most of the feud. Although the whole feud in general was pretty shit for the most part.
