Wrestlemania XX DVD Review

John Cena vs Big Show- **
The crowd was into this match, but I wasn't lol. The ending was cool, I actually liked Cena back in 2003-2004 somewhat.

Fatal Four Way Tag Team Match-** 1/2
Slow action at times, but I just liked to see RVD and Booker win.

Jericho vs Christian- *** 1/2
Really good match with a shitty ending. The ending stopped this from being ****

Evolution vs Rock n Sock Connection- *** 1/4
I enjoyed this match very much. I thought it had some good action, but was just a little slow at times. The ending was good, but I would have rather Rock and Foley win, it would have made more sense to me I guess.

Playboy Match- *
Okay.....

Cruiserweight Battle Royal- ***
Good action, I thought the outcome was poor, but still all around good match.

Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar- * 1/2
The worst actual match of the night and one of the worst big matches I've ever seen. Austin stunning both at the end, gets this match a * 1/2, and that was AFTER the match. Straight garbage my dudes lol

SD Fatal Four Way Tag Team Match- * 3/4
Almost as bad as the Goldberg/Lesnar match and the crowd let them know it as well lol.. The shit sucked lol

Victoria vs Molly Holly- ** 1/2
Not bad for a divas match lol.. I just keep saying this lol

Eddie vs Kurt Angle- **** 1/4
Great match, the ending was slick, but I just prefer clean old finishes lol.

Undertaker vs Kane- ***
Not a bad match, but I was disappointed that Undertaker came back with the Rihanna Umbrella hair cut and the American Bad Ass attire.. I wanted to see an upgraded Deadman Type, but oh well. Some moves were botched here and there, but still good.

HBK vs HHH vs Benoit- *****
AWESOME. The match was just AWESOME. The ending was awesome... The Eddie/Benoit moment at the end.. AWESOME.

Overall- ***(I enjoyed this PPV I guess, but it's still lacking what made WM 17 and WM 19 such great wrestlemanias... Up Next...Wrestlemania 21, Armageddon 2007 and Wrestlemania 23.)

Rey vs Eddie- *** 1/2
These two always work good together. I enjoyed this match very much. Good opener

Money In The Bank Match- *****
ONE WORD FOR YOU... SHELTON, NUFF SAID

Undertaker vs Randy Orton- *** 1/2
Good match, real solid. I was glad Taker won.. That RKO by Orton though was that shit.

Trish vs Christie- * 1/2
Pretty bad IMO... Still Trish's fine ass won so it's cool lol

Angle vs HBK- *****
This was awesome. I loved the whole Angle/HBK program, I wish Shawn woulda won at WM 21, but hey this was still a damn good match, classic shit lol

Sumo Match- NO STARS
STRAIGHT GARBAGE, TRASH.

Piper's Pit with Austin- ***
Great mic work for both... just that Carlito made it go downhill lol

Cena vs JBL- **
Oh my god, this was boring.... The crowd wasnt that into it either, but damn it was bad lol.

Batista vs HHH- ** 3/4
Not a bad match I guess...Not a real good one either. The only match I like with these two really was the Vengeance 05 one..

Overall- *** 1/2
Two five star matches, some more three and a half star matches, but also some horrible ones.

I'm really looking forward to that Starrcade DVD, it's a must buy for me as long as the match listing is acceptable.

Armageddon 2007

Rey vs MVP- ***
Pretty good match, shitty ending. I wish MVP woulda beat Rey cleanly, but hey... still a good match

Daddy V/Mark Henry vs CM Punk/Kane- **
Pretty bad to say the least. I did not enjoy this match lol

HBK vs Kennedy- *** 3/4
Pretty good. I thought this was always a good feud anyway and I enjoyed it a lot

Hardy vs HHH- *** 1/2
Good match too. I thought it was a little slow in the middle, but a good match and a quick finish.

Finlay vs Khali- * 1/2
Bad.... Just.. bad...

Y2J vs Orton- ****
I thought this was the best match of the night. Good match, loads of action, but I hate DQ endings lol

Beth vs Mickie- ** 1/2
Pretty good. I just wish Mickie woulda won.. that broad is bad

Edge vs Batista vs Taker- ***
I wasn't the biggest fan of this match. It had some damn good moments and some bad ones. I rate this *** because it wasn't horrible, but it wasn't a classic

Yeah, so, I get back after 5 days and attempt to read everything I've missed - I'm sorry but 50 odd pages is too much for me right now . I did read bits here and there though:

Austin; nice reviews on Armageddon 99 and.... another one, I think. I honestly can't remember which one as I only really skim read the second one (if you even done another at all), but I enjoyed the Armageddon one (which I KNOW I read lol).

On the Jericho/HBK and Orton/Trips Judgment Day discussion, I'm in agreement with those that feel the Jericho match has potential to be prety great, but if the storyline continues the way it's going (btw, I haven't seen this weeks RAW yet), then I expect a ***-***1/2 (which, in fairness, is still great, just maybe a little underwhelming for these 2) for the PPV. Orton/HHH should be fantastic - **** at least, I'm hoping.

And I enjoyed reading the greatest wrestlers ever lists as well. I don't really feel like adding mine since the discussion's pretty much dead and buried, but the Jushin Liger love makes me a happy Laker (although giving up a 2-0 lead... nevermind, different thread).

blazedog; nice reviews on WM20 and 21. I'm in agreement with a lot of your ratings, although I haven't seen either in a while so I may be a bit off.

Clique; still looking forward to the Rey DVD review. I wanted to do a review of disc 2, but I haven't even started one yet. Looking forward to comparing ratings as we're pretty much the same for a lot of stuff.

And Taroo, where is this Starrcade DVD you speak of?

Money In The Bank Match- **** 3/4
I loved this match so much. I was glad Kennedy won it and it was cool to have
8 men in this match.

Khail vs Kane- *
GARBAGE. Simple and plain

Benoit vs MVP- *** 1/2
Very good match, lots of great technical wrestling.

Batista vs Undertaker- **** 1/2
I thought this was an awesome match. Great action all around and it had the crowd going damn near crazy.

ECW Originals vs New Breed- ** 1/2
I wish this match was an EXTREME match like the one they had on ECW TV a few days after. This was okay, but not what it should have been.

Lashley vs Umaga- ***
The match itself was good, but Austin getting involved made it more entertaining. Good shit

Melina vs Ashley- * 1/2
Bad, just poor lol

Cena vs Michaels- **** 3/4
Almost a classic. I HATED the finish and HATED seeing Cena win. But the action was great and entertaining all the way through

Overall- *** 1/4
