6.Buried Alive Match
Mr.Mcmahon vs Undetaker
Nothing to interestin about this match though it was mostly just Work up to kane vs taker at wm 20. Undertaker beats the hell out of vince and then undetaker goes to open the door of a caterpillar type thing , and some explosives go off and then kane comes out beats on him, and buries
Right, no spoilers. Lol im sure everyone knows what happens.
Anyone want to review Foley's DVD for me? (hits & misses)
Thanks for the information but I would like to know SamoaJoeBucsFans thoughts as I see him as a credible and intelligant poster on this kind of subject. Also any thoughts on Armaggedon 2002, HBK Vs. HHH in a 2 out of 3 falls match?
Loved the 2/3 falls. It was a very different match type. I wish they would do more things like that to cap off feuds. I liked the event overall and this was the icing on the cake. As far as the event goes, it was very good and shows how good smaller PPV's can be when they have both rosters involved. I loved Kurt winning the belt but he was the face, and they made him look very very weak. That pissed me off when watching the DVD a couple weeks ago. Brock Lesnar basically won the match for you, and when you're a face, that hurts your credibility. He did turn heel a couple weeks later though.
I have not seen Survivor Series 2003. I have it on my Netflix list but won't receive it for a while.
I have seen Survivor Series 96-2002 though. I don't remember details about alot of them but I can tell you what I do remember if you want.
And to the McMahon DVD. It was ok. It was NOT as good as many people say it is. I find it to be very kayfabe and they skipped over alot of things that would make Vince look bad. I mean the real Vince, not the character Vince. I disliked the kayfabe nature of the DVD, but it was ok. It bugged me that they completely skipped like 15 years of time. They went from him taking over territories and stealing Hulk Hogan in the early 80's, to his feud with WCW in 95. No steroid trial, no Hulkamania, nothing. Really a let down there.
Anyway, I have just watched Royal Rumble 03, and will review it if you guys like. I have No Way Out 2003 coming later in the week (no spoilers please) and I will review that also if asked.
Here's my quick review of Royal Rumble 03, and i didn't even need to watch it again...
Royal Rumble 2003 is all about the Angle vs Benoit title match, no doubt about it, the rumble had its good moments but that year was way too predictable. Steiner vs HHH was horrible and Dawn Marie vs Torrie Wilson (over the Dawn Marie killed torries father by having sex with him too much angle) was the perfect reason women's wrestling isn't taken seriously. Was impressive seeing Brock belly to belly Big show a couple times, and the Tag Match is passable but better than anything Raw's put out for Tag Matches this year.
Despite Angle vs Benoit is probably the best WWE Title defence I've ever seen, and my personal favorite match (it can also be found on the history of the WWE championship) this is a passible event unless you want to see the Rumble as well.
The HHH/Steiner match may be one of the worst matches I have ever seen.
I still think Dawn Marie/Torrie was the shit match of the night but it was expected to be, but yeah that Stiener/HHH match was not a good way to start off Stiener's horrible 2003 run, lol. Thank God for Kurt & Benoit stealing the show right after.
When I was watching the Steiner-HHH match I realized something. Steiners ONLY move was the belly-to-belly suplex. I like Steiner, but man, that was all he did the whole match. Plus does anyone remember the reaction he got from the crowd? 1/3 silence, 1/3 cheers, and 1/3 boos.
I just bought the Ultimate Ric Flair Collection and let me tell you, it is the best DVD collection I have ever seen. Classic Promos, Interviews, Matches it has them all. The wrestling that Flair could pull off back then was amazing. If anyone has any questions then ask me. It is a must buy if you like real wrestling.
