Re: Official WWE DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
This dvd looks really great imo. Owen/Bulldog Euro title match was awesome just so everyone knows. The only thing is the new list doesn't have that Hbk/Austin v Bulldog/Owen but it doesn't matter because the new list is a definite upgrade.
I personally don't care about a lack of matches on 2 and 3 because the segments became more central in those years but they still found a way to get improtant or good matches from those years in there. HBK/Shelton is huge, HBK/Angle being on there is huge and HBK/Edge is great. So in general, the lack of Attitude Era matches is fine because there are great matches on the dvd anyway, and there's a plethora of great segments in place of more matches which is okay imo.

Re: Official WWE DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
Sharing my rundown of this year's No Mercy. Got the DVD during the week and just finished looking back at all of the matches today.
Triple H/Orton - **3/4.
Hardy, London & Kendrick/Cade, Murdock & Kennedy - **1/4.
Punk/BDV - n/a.
Triple H/Umaga - *3/4.
Mysterio/Finaly - **
Beth/Candice - *
Batista/Khali (Punjabi Prison) - **1/2.
Triple H/Orton (Last Man Standing) - ****1/4.
Opening match was a decent start to the night. It was a different change of pace to see a WWE Title match early on the pay per view. But at least they got the crowd going before the rest of the night continued and even thought the six man tag was an entertaining little match. But there was a downside to me as the PPV continued since I felt Punk's match was a waste and I was kind of disappointed in how the Triple H/Umaga match delivered given their talent in the ring. Plus Finlay vs. Mysterio had decent action for what it was but was much below par with especially the regular TV matches they've had on Smackdown this and last year. Beth & Candice's match was a mediocre women's match. Batista/Khali was certainly the best that you can probably get out of those two together and wasn't a mess that you'd think it be. Finally, last but not least. The main event was in fact a great match and I just might believe this could be Randy Orton's best singles match in his WWE career thus far. A better Last Man Standing match that I would put over Cena/Umaga and Taker/Batista that took place in the year. But anyway, thought the event overall isn't good or bad yet still watchable with final match being the most helpful towards making this event look better.

I thought the first HHH/Orton was pretty good, I'd give it over ***.

I think ****1/4 is the max i'd give Orton/Trips, I think people on here overrate the match a lot.
Punjabi Prison match was a lot better than I thought it's be. Probably Khali's best match

I didn't overrate this match and I have it at **** 3/4. Great story told by two great wrestlers. JR got into this match more than any other match this year. That says something. JR didn't even get this excited for WM 23.

The LMS match with Taker was pretty good too, but I haven't watched it since it happened.

***3/4 - **** for Orton/HHH LMS. I find it to be highly overrated.

People say HBK/Hart Ironman is overrated but that doesn't change my rating of **** 3/4 - ***** for that match.
