Shit? I can give you a good bit of matches from this year including Edge/Cena from Unforgiven that are better than Warrior/Savage.

I enjoyed the Savage/Warrior match personally because at the time it was booked perfectly, it was a career match, the fans were into it, and it was the two biggest personalities in the WWE not named Hogan, so there was a lot of electricity, but obviously the match suffered because the Ultimate Warrior is one of the worst wretlers ever, in history. But for what it's worth, I thought it was a classic and I can't think of any better matches recently.

I agree the match was very enjoyable but it might be something you had to watch when it happened because if you compare it to the stuff now it's absolute shit.

Well, I guess its all a matter of opinion. I agree that there are a couple from this year that are better, but people are too quick to deem things classics. Just because something is good, doesn't mean it's a classic. But you are right, there have been some good ones this year. But the bad FAR outweigh the bad in terms of matches in the last couple years of wrestling. In the WWE anyway.

Re: Official WWE DVD Help & Review Thread
I wish the US could get tagged classics. I want Summerslam '98 and KOTR '98 on DVD. I have the VHS's, but the quality is ugly.

Yeah wrestling is way different these days, and the wrestlers are more athletic and technical than the huge bodies of the early nineties like Dino Bravo, Warrior, etc.....Now we have HHH, Michaels, Angle, X Division guys, Christian, Edge, etc......

I agree people are rather quick to deem things classics. The only WWE match from the past couple years that I'd deem a classic would be Angle/Michaels from Vengeance 2005 and possibly Angle/Taker from No Way Out.

I thought Benoit/HHH/HBK was a classic, as well as Shelton/HBK.
I thought Flair/HHH from Survivor Series was awesome too.
