After LaVar Balls electric performance last night it got me thinking?
Who are some of the best valet's we've seen in WWE,
I have decided not to include Paul Heyman and Paul Bearer because they are the 2 obvious answers. THE PAULS LOL
But I have this sneaking suspicion that LaVar might end up being one of the greatest.
He reminds me a lot of Teddy Long and / or Slick. Not sure what it is but he is a natural showman like those 2. The comparisons are uncanny TBH. If he stays around the WWE I think there will be positive growth from 2017 to beyond.
You see LaVar brings a demographic that WWE has been lacking. Yes! Basketball fans! They spend $$, we could use the exposure. All of the other NBA guys who have spent time in WWE have benefited greatly. Did anyone outside of the NBA really know who Dennis Rodman was? Did Shaq's star power not double after this WWE performance.
Yeah Bobby Hennan will never be topped by anyone, ever. Some other good ones from the past though were Classy Freddy Blassie, Mr. Fuji, Jimmy Hart, and Captain Lou Albano. There have been several good ones though.
It's Heenan by a 1000 country miles. Even other managers admit it.
Lavar was much more entertaining than expected but as a manager or mouthpiece it would be extremely difficult for him to crack the top 20, probably even the top 30. There are just too many legends to surpass.
Bobby Heenan is far and away the best ever. Everyone else is playing for second place. I think the OP is only familiar with Heenan as a commentator. I mean Heenan crushed it for years in the AWA then did the same with the WWF before moving full time to commentary.
As a person who doesn't know shit about basketball, I've since learned those guests on raw were from that sport.
From that perspective, I thought all three of them looked like damn fools. They weren't funny, the old man looked like some sort of ex game show host or a drunk dad when your friends visit.
Tier 1 --> Heenan by far.
Tier 2 --> Paul Bearer, and Jim Cornette were phenomenal.
Tier 3 --> Heyman is amazing when he has good material to work with and is not phoning it in like how he has with the Joe-Lesnar feud.
Tier 4 --> Vickie Guerrero was surprisingly good, and very underrated. Ted DiBiase.
All due respect to Heyman, he attempted his version of the family. But Bobby managed to make any shit, gold. Every member of his Family looked like champs when paired with him.
All of the other NBA guys who have spent time in WWE have benefited greatly. Did anyone outside of the NBA really know who Dennis Rodman was? Did Shaq's star power not double after this WWE performance.
