I actually miss the crowd reactions. The people are just aren't as vocal anymore and yes, some of that has to do with the booking and the product but I really wish the crowd were more into it, reacting to everything that happens in the ring and reacting to promos. They just aren't as loud as they used to be. I wish the crowd made more noise, be it cheering or booing.

There are two other things that contribute to the lack of crowd reaction....
1. Shows are TOO LONG. A live Raw is a grueling amount of time to sit through. By the time something happens that is what people came to see, they are exhausted from the hours of filler they have to endure.
2. Everyone has the internet in the palm of their hand. When a match is dragging on during a commercial break, or when a talking segment has telegraphed what is about to happen next, its way too easy to look at a phone and find something else to occupy your mind instead of what's in front of you in the ring. Some of that is due to a product that can't hold your attention and some of that is the ADD that devices cause you to have.
When the companies had the freedom to book who they wanted to how they wanted to without fans hijacking shows and being willing to play along or the fear of Hollywood causing them to hold back.
The days of two prominent brands on at the same time.
- Feuds with good storytelling
- Commentary that isn't annoying
- The whole aura of the show and the wrestlers that was lost because of overproduction
- CM Punk and AJ Lee
Asshole chants to the heels.
Blood (in like HITC matches etc)
PPV sets (I miss the old Backlash set with the swinging blades etc.)
Hardcore Title (it gave the usually unused mid card something to do)
You guys remember when two performers would clothesline each other or collide in mid-air because they both tried a crossbody? That was the original que for "This is awesome" chants before it was *big move* *strong strike* *both men down* *"This is awesome!"
In short: I miss the potential of the 10 count draw. Built so much anticipation and excitement for the match, especially when it happened in the right context with the right performers.
Really miss: Variety of storylines different and entertaining storylines, character building, more freedom to wrestlers to show their own personality instead of reading out loud.
Somewhat miss: blood (it added a whole new element to the feuds), sexualization (they overdid it in AE and then they completely took a U-turn in PG era. They need to find a middle ground, there is nothing wrong with characters like Torrie Wilson or Val Venis). Over the top storylines that made no sense but were entertaining as hell.
