It's no secret that these two are the biggest with the Indian demographic. Considering WWE's recent obsession with pandering to them, this is the kind of match they need to put on a Network special sometime this summer. Roman Reigns as Universal Champion. Jinder Mahal as WWE Champion. Sell tickets and jack up the prices to high heaven. Advertise it heavily for 3 weeks like the Japan special, and air it on the Network to attract subscribers. These are not only the two guys everyone loves to complain about, but they're the two biggest draws in that specific market. Let them go for 20 minutes, end the match with a draw, and a civil war could potentially break out. If WWE wants to go all out with the shock value and collecting that Indian revenue, this is the way to do it. Oh yeah, and by making more Youtube videos featuring both of them :reigns2.
I mean if I wanted Reigns to have a match with someone who is shit in the ring and looks like he has had all the steroids I would just watch WM31 again thanks Boss.
Just send them off to India and start a new Indian promotion full of jobbers with Roman and Gynder. Hell, throw in an Indian Championship Tournament with Roman and Gynder rigged to be in the finals, Indians cumming for days! :vince5
WWE doesn't make revenue on Youtube videos, all wrestling content was demonitized about a month ago under Youtube's new ad guidelines. You can't even see the videos anymore unless restricted mode is off. They could get 10 billion views and they won't see a single red cent.
Regardless, why does everybody care all of a sudden what the Indians like? What about the rest of the world? And don't give me this argument about how India has 1 billion people. The entire country are not going to become wrestling fans. Nobody in India subscribes to the Network, which is the whole point behind this. They're trying, desperately, to throw something against the wall and make it stick. If you don't like wrestling, you're not going to become a fan of it because some non Indian Indian is the champion.

What are these new ad guidelines, and how and why do they go from making over $5 million a year with a platinum play button to zero?

It's been a running cop out for the last few years for Roman haters to say all of his fans and social media/digital media followers are Indian, so they don't count. It's the stupidest excuse I've ever heard. If Roman's fans are all Indian, but Indians don't spend money, then who's keeping him as the top full time merch seller? You can't have it both ways. Regardless, WWE in general does have a highly demoted Indian following that thinks it's real, so they could seriously do great business with this matchup taking place over there.
They are two of the biggest names in India for sure. Not that I would want to see it personally, but from a business perspective in India, fans there would cream all over that
It would be interesting. I'd have a feeling the fans would cheer Jinder over Roman so it would be messy booking if they want Jinder to remain a strong heel.
You know what… the more I think about this, the more I like OP's idea. Imagine the revenue.
Here comes the moneeeyy! (Maharaja money)
It could end up triggering a lot of the fans though….
So my Indian friend just said Jinder Mahal vs Mustafa Ali would be huge, it would be A LOT bigger than Jinder vs Roman.
For those of you who don't know, Indians and Pakistanis don't get along. You just need to watch a cricket match between these two countries to see this. Both countries come to a standstill whenever they meet.
If they're planning an event in India, that has to be your main event.
The Maharaja, Jinder Mahal vs. Pakistan's favorite son, Mustafa Ali.
I could easily see them selling out 200,000 tickets+ if they find a big enough arena and promote it well.
The Facebook comments alone would make this must see.
