Wrestlers who are generally knocked by the fans. That you think are great!!

I'm not talking about people like Drew McIntyre and people like that. He seems to be generally praised by the fans but misused by the WWE. The same for like Heath Slater, Wade Barrett etc.. the fans seemed to love them on a whole but the WWE just misused them. And same with talent like Del Rio. He's knocked by the fans but most fans do say he was a solid in ring wrestler so I'm not talking about these kinda guys.

Also, not things such as talent that were raved about and then fans turned on. For example I remember AJ Lee being praised by pretty much everyone all saying she was the best, deserves this push and all that and when she got it, after a while fans started to knock her which is quite a regular thing really anyway. However these talents were praised by the fans at some point and also continuously praised by the fans who didn't turn on them.

More so talents that you see getting no praise from the wrestling fans hardly for their work, or even to the extent of being knocked for their work when you've actually always felt it was great.

For me the following come to mind.

Jinder Mahal

I've always felt that Jinder Mahal was a pretty talented wrestler. His mic work wasn't too bad but his in ring work I always felt was knocked way too much than it was deserved to be. Even way back in 2012 or whenever it was that he came into the WWE he just seemed to be doing some pretty good work but never getting any praise for it. I remember a series of matches between him and Ted Dibiase Jr which were really good. They were bringing some great technical matches between them and they always stood out for me which is quite rare in today's WWE. Specially when the talent are so restricted with what they can do. Even in 3MB it was always Jinder that was knocked and sure, Drew and Heath were brilliant so I get that but I also felt that Jinder was great too. We'd often hear 'Heath's great, Drew's great but Jinder not so much' and it always baffled me how people didn't see his talent. Although I haven't watched the product for a while I've heard that he's on the verge of a good push lately and I think it's great cause he is a pretty decent worker. Maybe just over shadowed by gimmick or something, I'm not sure.

Hunico

This is where the thing with Hunico comes in for me. I thought when he was the gangster thug kinda thing he was quite unique and was bringing great matches but the real impressive thing was how he adapted to taking on the Sin Cara role when the original Sin Cara left the company. The style of wrestling just showed his versatility to me and he was doing it well. I never really heard him getting much credit for this or in general so I do feel that he deserves more credit than he currently gets. Not many wrestlers could have taken that role in such a short space of time too. Yet he did and he did it well. It was thrown upon him really quickly as I saw him as Hunico a week or two previously and the original Sin Cara too at a house show and then all of a sudden on Smackdown or Raw the original Sin Cara was gone and Hunico took on the role. So I know it was very short notice when he did it and he adapted so well.

Ryback

Ok, Ryback started off quite shaky in the WWE where he did come across as quite careless. However he did rectify this quite well and also his mic work came on loads too. I don't really feel Ryback got the credit he deserved sometimes for this and that's also why I think of Ryback when I think of this too. I'm still not sure many fans credit him now but I dunno, though this is something that I've always felt.

So what comes to mind for you in this kinda thing. I hope this has come across right as often you'll explain things like this here and then someone will say 'Del Rio' and it's like. He has more times than not been praised for his in ring work and has been given credit by the fans. It's just now with all the Paige stuff he's quite knocked which is a completely different thing altogether.

I look forward to hearing some thoughts and vibes from you guys :)

Roman Reigns
Yes granted he shouldn't be cutting comedy, corny promos and yes he should be a bad ass, cool heel.......but this guy is quality. Great in the ring, good collection of moments and matches, looks like a total badass, looks like a star, looks like a WRESTLER. Plus he has PRESENCE and really looks like and carries himself like an alpha.

Jinder Mahal
Fair play to the guy. He's went away, found a new level of intensity, hit the gym and the roids and bulked himself up. Even if he doesn't beat boner snake for the WWE Title next month I still think WWE should use him well and make him a top heel.

Elias Samson
Question: What does Samson have that the likes of Nakamura, Zayn, Ziggler and other smark-cuck favorites haven't????? Answer: A CHARACTER! A GIMMICK!! Am I saying that this guy should be a main eventer? No. But he has something that sets him apart from the rest of the "I wrestled all over the world and in ROH, I have workrate and I'm happy to be here" bores that the "this is awesome" gimps seem to love the now. He plays his character well and gets booed like a heel should.

Wyatt, a lot of people give him stick but i still consider him one of the most entertaining in the company.
Samson, great potential with his character and not as bad of a wrestler as some people say, IMO.
Sami Zayn, a lot of people call him boring but i think he's the best male face on the roster with a big ceiling.
TJ Perkins, there's something about him that i really like, he's good to watch in the ring too.

Finn Balor, Sheamus, Sami Zayn, Naomi.

Roman would've been on my list but tbh the whole booing the face shtick has gotten so old for me now I totally skip his segments. Until they turn him heel I'm not paying any attention to him because the crowd takes me right out of the show.

Wyatt - still one of the elite mic workers in the company, but since he's been shoved into the Dark Dingy Smoky Promo Den Of Death by WWE Creative every single fucking week for the past two years, people are all over his ass saying how mediocre he is. His in-ring promos without the bullshit spooky horror filter are where he excels the most, but he doesn't even get many chances to do those these days.

I'll add Erick Rowan, Finn Balor and Breezango to the list.

Ryback forsure. Dude was a beast, was fresh, got over with a chant, and even out popped Cena, and Punk when those 2 were the top 2 guys at the time.

Had they just booked him properly as a monster who just ran through people, I feel like they could've made a lottt of money off the human wrecking ball AKA master of the feed me more, RYBACK.

Ryback - Was a legitimate and believable powerhouse who was hugely over when he was pushed. Could have been a top guy right now.

Eva Marie - Sex appeal. Ringwork isn't the only thing that matters.

Goldberg 2017 - After squashing Lesnar, would it have made sense for him to have a 20 min match against Owens? Yeh maybe the match at Mania shouldn't have been for the title, but him squashing Owens made complete sense booking wise.
