Losing Paige an actual travesty?

So I was basically ready to say peace out, all her spiraling and what not, I just felt leaving WWE was best for her personally. But as I'm watching older NXT stuff, reminded how great she was when green and wet behind the ears, and not smoking green and wet behind the puss.

I feel like Paige could have been a HOF and one of the great women wrestlers had she taken it more serious. A lot of women can look like her but she had a special aura and was incredibly good at presenting herself and her skills, she was a legit character. I'm watching a match from 2012, and her and Fox had a quality match well before any revolution was taking place, and she was like 90% there to her main roster level persona. But I'm looking at her as a scout and not as a fan, and to be blunt, she is no where near in the same shape as Sasha, Charlotte and Becky were, back when they were in NXT, let alone their main roster level bodies, all 3 are perfect physical specimens built for the division. With women like Micky, Carmella and Bliss filling out roster, and NXT already crafting other young and vet women, I really don't think WWE needs Paige, at all, and really question with her new lifestyle can handle being a wrestler good enough for WWE.

So I'm wondering, are the womens divisions losing anything by never seeing Paige again? Or did her "best she could be" had already eclipsed, so years ago her not committing to be the best was the travesty that already happened, and now, is either more of a good riddance or wished you'd stay cause you could have been the new Alicia Fox?

Why are we losing anything by having a woman be on tv when she won't be motivated because she won't want to be there? NXT Paige was a long time ago.

Setting all of her personal issues aside, I felt that Paige was simply burnt out on wrestling. Personally there's no way I would have let her start in this stuff at 13 years old if I were her parents. Then she was thrust into the spotlight at 18. Always felt like she sacrificed her childhood to be a wrestler and is now trying to go back and live that childhood. She is extremely talented and maybe some day she will get her passion back, but then there's the question as to whether or not she's already done too much damage to her brand.

If this was 2014, I would disagree. But I just think the Womans division and WWE as a whole have simply moved on. The Womans Div is in good shape atm, and have moved forward. I am still a fan of Paige the wrestler, not the person. But she has been out way too long. I don't think she is as big as loss as Eva Marie at this stage of the game. I don't think her wrestling career is over. But I Think in WWE it has become passe. Got to much ahead of her. Like You said Bliss, Mickie, Carmella, Nia e.t.c. Then crop from NXT coming through. Then the 4HW e.tc. She won't get any real push anyway. She would prob be used as enhancement talent.

That's the worst series of words I believe I have ever read.

And no, she had some decent matches half a decade ago, but that's old news. She never had a memorable match after she came to Raw. She's amounted to a bunch of hype like AJ Lee.

The division was so awful from 2005-2015 that anybody with half an ounce of talent has been overblown into a Hall of Famer already.

I had to read that part twice :lmao

I actually really like Paige, like I said many times before, she is one of the reasons I started watching wrestling again (and I'm not goth or punk rock or any of that) she legitimately had a certain aura and charisma, she seemed so badass. But then TD happened, the push to the Horsewomen happened and she was pushed aside and, finally, all the Del Rio stuff, the injury and the sex tape happened so I don't know how focus she would be in an eventual comeback, I honestly think she has moved on and good for her, but I honestly think that, despite all the focus in the horsewomen, she could have been so much more if she didn't got herself involved in so much drama because I still think she is really talented both in the mic and in the ring, but she never really had the chance the women have these days, because despite being 2 times champion she never had a 10+ minutes match until the horsewomen got call up and only had 2 after that, 1 with Sasha which arguably was the best womens main roster match of 2015 and 1 with Charlotte who sucked after all the Reid Flair debacle.

Sadly, she's gone and besides Ruby Riot will end up replacing the whole goth/pale looking woman vibe anyways.

Honestly its no real loss. But the only woman that it would be a real loss to lose at this point is Charlotte, everyone else is easily replaceable. But Paige herself, she was a Diva who coined an Anti-Diva moniker solely because she's pale, but everything about her screamed "generic Diva". She wasn't any good on the mic, she wasn't anything special in the ring. She was occasionally a capable of having a good enough match but most of the women in WWE can deliver a good enough match in the right circumstances. Nothing about her ever really screamed "great", or "better than the Divas". Watching her you never really get the sense she's been wrestling all her life because she isn't really any good. Too me it always just seemed like she just comes from a white trash carny family, and she's doing what her family does as opposed to really honing her craft.

When the "anti-diva" joined Total Diva. It made no sense whatsoever

Paige is a talent that would be useful to the division if she would get her head removed from her rectum, but if she's still having this attitude and she won't commit herself to it, then there's nothing to gain from someone who won't produce.

*Looks at the women who have debuted since 2015*

*Thinks about the possible women on their way to WWE*

I see no travesty.

If the WWE cares so much about markets, then yes they'll be losing a good amount in Paige. Not only the youngest women's champ, but also from the UK which is WWE's 2nd biggest market, above Jindia. They still have Neville, Sheamus Jack Gallagher and Noam Dar on the main roster and the likes of Pete Dunne on the WWE UK show but in terms of the women, they don't have a replacement... Yet. Nixon Newell and Jinny will very likely be in the women's tournament so we'll see how that goes. But given her age, her accomplishments who she is and where shes from - 2nd generation, English female wrestler, if she doesn't return its no small deal.

It's been, what, a year since Paige last appeared? Even longer since she was making consistent appearances. Her absence has had virtually no effect from what I can see. Most people seem to have moved on and the division itself has too. The likes of Charlotte and Sasha are better than Paige ever was. Then when you include the current NXT women and the ones coming in during the summer, there really isn't a spot for Paige anymore. There's just too much superior talent about to fill the division over the next 18-24 months.

IDK. She went from being the Anti-Diva to hotpotating the Divas title with AJ Lee to ending up on Total Divas to where she is now.

She was only showcased at WM in a tag match and then was put on the preshow in a multiwomen tag match the following WM. She’s never challenged for a title at WM against someone like Emma, which you would expect if she was truly valued at all.

Meanwhile, the 4 Horsewomen, Alexa and even Naomi have been surpassing her in the ring. Mickie James returned, Nikki Bella’s been holding her own, and then there’s Asuka and Ember Moon among other names in NXT and whatever Dana and Nia can do if they improve in ring.

Way I see it, she was never used to her full potential and given too much too soon at the same time. The talent is there to try again if she wants to though.
