Without Taker, Goldberg, and Lesnar what would they do?

seriously.

I think it's been well enough proven that building "stars" is no longer a goal or even an acceptable outcome of a career to WWE. Building shareholder/advertiser friendly "passable entertainers" is all that remains for us as the viewers. And it's exactly the way they like it.

Idk.. have entertaining/good wrestlemania matches?

Taker can't go anymore if he hasn't been just acting like he's a cripple, Reigns will have to carry him and he isn't in a place where I think he can. Brock vs Goldberg, the minimal interest I had in that feud died when they kept beating that dead horse by giving Goldberg the championship.. buried everything and everyone from Survivor Series till current day.. including their own company.

When their unbeaten, uncontrollable, killer beast got destroyed in less than 90sec by someone that can barely run, 12 years after he last wrestled well yeah, who needs credibility? Without especially Goldberg and Taker, wrestlemania would be way more exciting for me personally. Lesnar can go.. but all they let him be is a programmed suplex machine, rince/repeat, F5, done.

The product would suffer pretty much no detriment IMO. Some of the best PPVs and matches of the last couple of years didn't feature any part timers. They'd be focused on using guys who are the here and now, as well as the future, and would land many talents in good stead for the next few years as well, and allow them to build their name.

I think.the point is that not one casual would..
A. Know wtf is going on.
B. Know who the fuck anyone is. (other than Jericho and Cena)
C. Be impressed by any of these people as physical specimens and will therefore not be inticed to tune into Raw to see 'that huge guy on Mania who looks like Conan!' because other than Reigns/Strowman no one looks the part.

From the casuals perspective these big guys are absolutely necessary.

And the casuals would say....
'Other than Strowman, Reigns and Cena none of those guys look like pro wrestlers. WTF did I just watch?' And they would think wrestling had finally turned gay and never watch again.

The point of wrestling to casuals is Gladiator vs Gladiator combat, fantasy fights they wouldn't see in the real world because most people don't look like Lesner, Undertaker or Goldberg.
My dad and brother do not stop what they are doing to watch wrestling with me when Balor is on the screen but they do when Reigns or Lesner are fighting.

None of these new guys besides Strowman, Reigns and possibly Harper with a new look and shaved head have the ability to make a casual stop the channel let alone buy a PPV.

Undertaker can't really go in the ring anymore but it doesn't matter because the buildups are still the best. Smarks will rant on this forum, but deep down inside they know it's the most interesting match going into Wrestlemania.

Brock and Goldberg on the other hand are garbage. I was very excited for Goldberg's return, but when I found out he could only do two moves, like literally only two moves, the appeal went away. And Brock's been the same boring suplex city shtick for too long.

The buildup for Goldberg and Lesnar was literally one F5 and one spear. That's an atrocious buildup, perhaps one of the worst of all time. They couldn't even brawl for 20 seconds.

They probably would have made more of an effort to get Shaq vs. Big Show on the card. Or filled the show with a bunch of B-level celebrity appearances and given 30-minutes to Flo-Rida and Pitbull. Logic says that they should have focused on building new stars, and actually utilize guys like Samoa Joe, Finn Balor, and Nakamura, but this is the WWE we are talking about. You know that's out of the realm of possibility.

Also Big Slow, Kane, Henry, Golddust Henry are close to retirement. Jericho gone after WM, Cena's part time. Father Time is catching up with AJ. Taker and Goldy probably done after Mania. Kofi's getting on

Leaves the big dog, Bray and Finn the human whilst everybody else trades wins or jobs to the big dog

It's true that the WWE struggles building new stars, and part of that is due to their focus on the older ones, the nostalgia acts.

At the same time, they have to appeal to all crowds. Quite frankly, I love Goldberg's return. I prefer that he and Brock didn't fight for the title, but people are deflected from the bigger issue: one of them will have the title after WM.

Vince desperately looking for the next Cena or Hogan prevents him from finding the next Flair or HBK...and when he feels he's getting nowhere, desperation comes into play, and we find ourselves watching guys like Goldberg and Brock in the main event.

What would they do without those guys? They would probably overuse Cena, as they have done for years.
