A terrible tragedy unfolded at a WWE Raw event in Portland, Maine on Saturday night, with news breaking of a man collapsing in the stands and dying, according to TMZ.
“It happened at a house show in Portland, Maine where an elderly man reportedly collapsed out of his seat in the corner stands as the 2nd match of the event began.
EMTs moved the man to the nearest flat area and proceeded to conduct CPR for about 20 minutes — before taking him out on a stretcher to a local hospital. During that time, EMT’s performed CPR and 2 matches went down.
He was transported to Maine Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.”
If i would be in that age the best time to die would either be surrounded by my family & friends or during a WWE show that i loved so much in my childhood where i was passionate.
Someone dies every second and we don't hear about it, and we can't pray every second, but when we do hear about it then RIP and best wishes to his family. I feel sorry for the kid with him, and other people in the crowd, it must have been scary to see first-hand.
He died when the cruiserweights came on:
* Big Cass defeated Jinder Mahal with a big boot. Loud pops to open for Enzo and Cass. Jinder looked ripped but no one wanted to see him out there
* Austin Aries defeated WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville in a non-title match. Great heel work from Neville as he cut a pre-match promo and refused to defend the title
Everyone eventually dies. Seems the man lived long and died of natural causes. Nothing to be sad about, in my opinion. Death is a natural part of life.
But that is a weird way to go out. I'd rather be at home, when I die. Rest in peace, though.
As probably one of the eldest members of this forum
A.) I appreciate the respect for this man so far.
B.) The horror of actually dying in front of my children is a deep seeded fear of mine that I hope my 3 children will not have to endure.
When I read that he had someone with downs syndrome with him my heart broke even more....I hope that was not his son. My youngest son has downs.
RIP fellow WWE fan. My heart goes out to all of his loved ones
I just hope that he was happy within his last few seconds before losing consciousness. Maybe he was genuinely enjoying whatever match was taking place. That would be a peaceful way for him to go out
Rip. There are plenty of wrestlers up top in heavenlymania brother
