Yeah...pretty terrible list. A ton of these matches in the top 100 are flat out reaching. They're talking about random Raw matches that were OK for TV matches, but fuck, the 100 best matches OF ALL TIME?

Glaring issues:

Taker vs Lesnar WM30 is at #51...just LOL.

HBK vs Taker HIAC is only #37 and is one of the best matches in company history, yet is ranked below HBK/Bret WM12 and Savage/Steamboat? Come on...look, Savage/Steamboat is a great match but its not better than the HBK/Taker HIAC. And HBK/Bret Iron man match is boring as hell.

War Games from Wrestle War 1991...often seen as one of the best WCW matches in history, got beaten out by Bryan vs Sheamus 2/3 falls and Bryan vs Ziggler Bragging Rights? Sorry but no.

To people thinking I'm crapping on Bryan, Bryan vs Triple H WM30 somehow didn't make the list, yet Natalya vs Charlotte made it? Huh?

Other glaring omissions and confusing inclusions...(won't include Benoit matches because I understand why they aren't there)

Didn't make it:

Reigns vs AJ (either of them)
Rock vs Austin Backlash 1999
Austin vs Bret Survivor Series 1996
HBK vs Diesel Good Friends, Better Enemies
Bret vs Owen Summerslam 1994
Armageddon HIAC
Rock vs Angle No Way Out 2001
TLC 1
WM2000 Triangle Ladder Match
Jericho vs Hunter Last Man Standing Fully Loaded 2000
Taker vs Lesnar HIAC (the original from No Mercy 2002)
Angle vs Edge Backlash 2002
Cactus vs Hunter HIAC Now Way Out 2000
Austin vs Angle Summerslam 2001

Or from WCW

Steiner vs Goldberg Fall Brawl 2000
Hogan vs Flair Halloween Havoc 1994 (Hogan's best match)
Mysterio vs Psicosis Bash at the Beach 1996
Ultimo Dragon vs Rey Mysterio Spring Stampede 1997
Dean Malenko vs Ultimo Dragon Starrcade 1996
Dean Malenko vs Ultimo Dragon Nitro January 21, 1997
Kidman vs Juvy vs Mysterio Starrcade 1998

Did make it but really shouldn't have:

DDP vs Macho Man Spring Stampede 1997 (good match, not 100 best of WCW/WWF of all time, which is how most of these are)
Malenko vs Scotty 2 Hotty Backlash 2000
Team Hell No & Randy Orton vs. The Shield: SmackDown, June 14, 2013
Cactus Jack vs. Triple H – Falls Count Anywhere Street Fight: Raw, Sept. 22, 1997
Goldberg vs. Diamond Dallas Page – WCW Championship Match: Halloween Havoc 1998
Christian vs. Randy Orton – World Heavyweight Championship No Holds Barred Match: SummerSlam 2011
Steve Austin vs. Ricky Steamboat – United States Championship Match: Bash at the Beach 1994
Bret Hart vs. The 1-2-3 Kid – WWE Championship Match: Raw, July 11, 1994
Roddy Piper vs. Greg Valentine – Dog Collar Match: Starrcade 1983
Sheamus vs Bryan Extreme Rules 2012
Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler: Bragging Rights 2010
The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar: WrestleMania 30 (again, LOL)
Mr. Perfect vs. Ric Flair – Loser Leaves Town Match: Raw, Jan. 25, 1993
Edge vs. John Cena – WWE Championship TLC Match: Unforgiven 2006
John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar – Extreme Rules Match: Extreme Rules 2012 (belongs on the list but not at #15, bad placement is all)
Bret Hart vs. The British Bulldog – Intercontinental Championship Match: SummerSlam 1992 (as above, just in the wrong place)

I won't crab about Hogan vs Rock or Hogan vs Andre being on the list because, while not the greatest matches, the spectacle made up for what they lacked in ring, so they belong on here.

How do you go about including Hogan vs Andre but laugh that Brock vs Taker made it? Those are the two most historic moments in WM history. You could argue Austin passing out is #2 but nah. I guess Brock vs Taker was awful for like 3 or 4 times as long before the historic moment but that's a huge contortion to include one and not the other.

Omega v. Okada - Wrestle Kingdom 11 should be #1. Oh, wait... Wrong thread. :reneelel

In all seriousness, this Top 10 list needed Shawn Michaels v. The Undertaker - Badd Blood: In Your House (1997). Plus, it had one of the best finishes to the match when Kane made his debut.

I would also add Cactus Jack v. Triple H - Royal Rumble (2000) and Shawn Michaels v. Razor Ramon - WrestleMania X in the Top 10 somewhere. Overall, not a bad list at all! :thumbsup

I like most of the list. Iron Man match only good when Shawn holds the title finally at the end, and his wicked entrance but the actual match is so fucking boring, have watched it many times and its terribly overrated in every way. Piper/Goldust and Taker/Diesel were the actual show stealers. I agree HIAC '97 should take it's place. Triangle Ladder match at Mania 2000 never gets it's due, it is just as good as TLC I and II.

Needs:

Steve Austin v. Triple H - No Way Out 2001

Undertaker v. HBK - Badd Blood 97

Steve Austin v. The Rock - WM 17

#15 ·
Needs HBK vs Taker WM25 or 26.

#16 ·
25 is #1

Needs:

Steve Austin v. Triple H - No Way Out 2001

Undertaker v. HBK - Badd Blood 97

Steve Austin v. The Rock - WM 17
Ye they're already on my personal list to watch tonight

Well if you start at No.10 on that list it might kill you and you won't get to see the rest so better to start at 1 and work backwards.
Fuck that, I'm leaving this off my list & if it was on it certainly wouldn't be 1st :lol

Because, as I said in my last post, this list is fueled by a WWE agenda. They named HBK their greatest star ever which, no disrespect to Shawn, is flat out incorrect. As a result, they have to keep perpetuating the idea that everything he was involved with was classic. That's why they push HBK vs Bret as being one of the greatest feuds ever. It isn't. What made their dynamic so interesting was their real life hatred of each other the ultimately, the screwjob. If you base the feud specifically on what the audience saw and what was presented on TV, it was good, but not industry changing or anything. People attach extra importance to it because of the backstage stuff. Austin vs McMahon had zero backstage stuff involved and was a much more legendary feud.

Anyway, Vince has always seen this match as some all time classic, and he's determined to make people agree with him. That's fine, I mean it was a solid match, but 10th best match ever? Not a chance.
